Suspected broken jaw. Never confirmed on Twitter as he stopped tweeting around the time he was expecting results and hasn't put owt up since. The Bulls did confirm head injury though when he was omitted from the squad.

Bulls squad (v Wakefield): Michael Platt, Paul Sykes, Chev Walker, Patrick Ah Van, Brett Kearney, Marc Herbert, Nick Scruton, Heath L’Estrange, Andy Lynch, Olivier Elima, Elliott Whitehead, Jamie Langley, Matt Diskin, Bryn Hargreaves, Craig Kopczak, Ian Sibbit, Shaun Ainscough, Gareth Raynor, Shad Royston, Kyle Briggs.'"
What I hope to see:
Kearney
Raynor
Ah Van
Walker
Ainscough
Briggs
Herbert
Lynch
Diskin
Scruton
Elima
Whitehead
Langley
L'Estrange
Kopzcak
Hargreaves
Platt
Sibbit, Royston, Sykes to get 10/20 minutes towards end as i'd expect these are ones that might not feature in Cardiff (Sibbit could be 4th sub though)

swap scrutes for one of bench props and I'd go with that too. Only other change I'd be tempted with is swapping platt for royston on bench as latter is more versatile. suspect you could be right though and sibbit could get 4th bench spot for cardiff.

| Can't see Sibbit getting beyond around 18th man until we get injuries or need to rest someone. But if he plays a blinder on Sunday, well who knows?

that was my thinking too when we signed him, but he did go well in his stint against fax. Thinking he'd give us a bit of bulk on bench against leeds. Could achieve same thing by starting platt in and playing walker off bench as a 2nd row/ cover for . Depends what potters gameplan is I suppose. Either he goes for power or speed/skill.

platt covers ,fullback and wing at a stretch.
royston covers ,fullback, wing and loose forward (standoff at a stretch although I think its more a case of people saying he could play there as opposed to him actually having experience there).

| I think Sibbit might suprise a few people this year. Strong and solid. You don't have to be a world beater to hold down a spot.
IMO I would pick Royston over Platt for a bench spot but it's each to their own and we have a game and 2 weeks training before the whinos so anything could happen

I'd be disapointed if Royston played loose in super league.

cant do Wakefield due to mother in laws birthday lunch , and I would like to see Crossley play, the player of academy tour in Oz, given a 2 year contract rather than poached to Oz, so sounds like a potential Brian McD type: you only noticed him when he wasn't playing, solid steady graft week in week out.

thats your opinion and your entitled to it but we'll have to agree to disagree. Occasions I saw royston play loose for fax he looked very good in the role and offers something a little different to langley which could benefit us imo.

I think the thing with Royston is that he can adapt his trade mark runs to which ever position he plays but also does the hard yards well!
I think he will prove his worth this year

Is that because he's coming back from injury or because you see that as his role this season?
Hargreaves would be an excellent starting prop - excellent defence and makes good yards. However, Scruton played well all last season (in a starting role) and his big hits in the first 10 minutes can often set the intensity and get us on a roll. It also gets the fans behind the team more.

no problem with scrutes starting. just feel that out of 4 props we have he has most impact coming off the bench. would start with hargreaves and lynch.

I agree, I have changed my mind bring Scrutes on after 20 mins against a tired pack and let him tare them to bits.

Although I see where you're coming from, I don't agree. When we first signed Scruton, he was coming off the bench, and seemed to be fairly average. As soon as he was starting instead, his game seemed to up 500% and he became excellent.
I do get what you mean as it's akin to when we used to bring Fielden & Baloo off the bench, but it seems to me from past experience that Scrutes is far better on from the start.
