which is a good thing. I know you rate him mick but he really isnt upto SL level. Squad backup player at best imo. Since he lost his pace he doesnt really offer much.

I rated him when he came back from Wakey, but since then he's gone backwards. When he's fully fit he'll have a job on to show he deserves a new contract. He'll need to recapture that form that earned him 2 years in the first place.

I rather thought that, but I notice he's picked no. 2 in Potter's list, which sort of suggests (if squad numbers mean anything) that he's in line for a wing spot.
We'll see.

| The thing with Halley is that he seems to need a constant kick up the nal in order to get a good performance out of him.

I still see him as a useful asset for the coming season and although he may have lost a bit of pace with bulking up, he's still one of are fastest players.

I'd say Kearney, Ainscough & possibly Finigan would be faster.

Finigan isn't when we played Salford last year he couldn't catch Broughton. Halley could and Halley started behind Finigan.

I was in Rome when we played Salford!
I only thought Finigan could be because he seemed to have genuine pace which had been lacking for months at the end of last season (even though Halley had been playing)
I reckon Ainscough will be our fastest player now though.

I didn't mean that as a 'You Should Have Known Statement'. Just a little info pal. Can't rely on 1 player for pace though need at least 4 players who are fast. Totally agree with Ainscough.

We look alot faster than last year imo.
Reardon and Sheriffe weren't the fastest wingers. I'd bet Raynor is faster than both.

Sheriffe could have been faster than Usain Bolt but he couldn't catch or tackle to save his life. And yes Raynor will probably be faster and if he sees the line he will go for it and not cut inside like Reardon and Sheriffe.

They maybe mate I don't know but all this talk of Halley losing his space is complete rubbish.
He's still one of our fastest players.

I agree that he lost pace last year, though that is very much to do with his pre-season work and we don't know just what has been prioritised this time round. There are different types of pace though; fast over ten or twenty metres and then the ability to go the length of the field. To honest I thought Dave seemed to lack that longer distance pace last season.

| It's about a 25 minute walk from the bus station. All uphill though. I wouldnt really fancy it. There is a taxi rank straight opposite the bus station which is pretty cheap. You'll get there for £2.50ish.

I wouldn't walk up that great big hill if you paid me after last year
I would either get the bus or share a taxi mate.

It was a green Arriva bus, that is all I can remember but I'll get back to you.
On a side note, Dewsbury play Wakefield tomorrow and I think that's where I'll end up as I need a urgent Rugby League fix this weekend to escape all these 9-6 and 12-3 kick n crap games.

| If you take a look at Transportdirect.info it'll plan your whole route for you - provide bus numbers/times et al. for you.
Suspect the public transport route won't actually have you going into Dewsbury but over the top via Tingley.
The stop outside Rams stadium you'll need is - Shaw Cross (Dewsbury), Owl Lane Dewsbury Rugby League Stadium ( Stop 45020484) (on Owl Lane) - ta google maps
