That's just his build, he's quicker than disco has an awesome long and short kicking game, has a rep for been a bit of a 40/20 king. Has good dummy half distribution. His defence needs work and disco is much better. But everything he's as good or better than disco and probably on at least half his wage.

I agree about burgess. I just don't think scruton is better. For me there's nowt in it. Neither of them are in the lynch, kylie, carvell, Mason(keith), fielden bracket. And those guys arnt in the Graham, peacock, Morley bracket.

I just can't see any day light. neither of em does enough to outshine each other week in week out. Burgess is better going forward, Scroots defends better.

think your looking at burgess through blue and amber glasses a bit their. just looking at stats and thus taking club loyalties out of equation your correct about scrutes being a better defender, however hes also better going forward averaging 10m more per match. only stat where burgess looks better is offloads.

the stats give false indications. we have debated this before. Week in week out burgess is around the 100 to 120 meter mark Scroots was around 60 to 80. The stats are fluffed by things like players getting injured after 5 mins. Like burgess getting injured after 5 mins against the bulls. So 5 mins of a game played and that counting on the stats. So 2 carries counts as a game on the stats? Thats why stats can be totally misleading when you look at them as a block at the end of the season. week to week burgess makes far more many meters.

scrutes averaged 93m over the season. how did he do this if he was only getting 60-80m each week. he'd have had to have had a couple of games where he 200+ to skew the average that much. likewise burgess getting injured 5 minutes into one game isnt going to affect the average over the season by a signigicant amount. likewise amount of games he missed entirely dont affect it as I calculated the avergaes based on the each players respective number of appearances.

burgess making 'far more many meters' is you subjective opinion and you cant back it up with any facts. Imo scrutes makes more and the stats available (facts not my opinion) back that up.

Yeah I can pal the week to week stats of the rhinos a recorded on our forum by tvoc. I've followed my whole teams stats week by week like pretty much all of the SS crew and anyone else who wants a look.

TVOC didnt put any stats up for the easter fixture, and only put stats up for leeds for the other game. convenient for your argument as it makes it impossible to make a direct comparison. Although how you consider stats for one specific game to be relevent whilst at the same time disregarding the average stats over the entire season which dont happen to backup your argument is puzzling to say the least.

the only relevent stat I can see for the 2nd game is burgess making 25m which means its either the game he only lasted 5 minutes (cant say I remember which game that was tbh) or he's just a lot worse than I thought

While in the general I would prefer to have scroots to burgess, but statistics are not really worth anything, and can be made to fit most agendas and sadly games are not won on paper, and some qualities cannot be found in statistics.
