How can voting be opened yet? The closing date for submissions is 30th November. So if more are added up to then, they are at a disadvantage. This is a fix. Is George Bush running this show or what?

I think the poll be closed and opened again on the 31st, with all the entrants in place.

I have to admit, I couldn't find the logic in having 3 added options to those who may submit their work before the closing date.

If you were prevented from re casting your vote, should someone provide a different image that you'd prefer, I'd agree.

However, Mission [ithoughtfully [/iset the poll up so that you could do just that - change your mind as many times as you want, whilst voting is open.

The only real percieved disadvantage any "late" contenders could possibly have is that their effort won't have been "visible" on RAB for as long as the first one's up . . . . which, spookily, would have been exactly the case as on the original thread

So say a killer banner goes up at 10.30 on 30th November, who is going to come on and revote? Who is even going to come back in and have a look at the new one? How will they know there is a new one? It's like casting a vote in an election before all the candidates have announced they are standing.
Why not have the banners up but don't open the voting until the 31st?

Doesn't bother me too much to be honest in regards to the banner (FYI option 1 is my preferred version). It does wrankle with me a little that we may end up sponsoring a player on the other side of the world when we could be sponsoring (for example) Steve Crossley who will be pushing to break into the Bulls 17, rather than a player trying to earn a deal at Souths once his Bulls contract expires (in 1 year I think?).

Anyway - enough thread de-railment!

Given the Curse of the Banner - maybe we should make a point of featuring, instead of sponsored players, those that we want out of the door?

I voted 9, it is by far the best one.

With the exception of Glenn Hall, who doesn't seem like Mr. Popular, are there any left in the squad that general opinion is strong enough about wanting rid of?

Now that Sheriffe, Reardon and Worrlord have gone, not sure there's any major ones left (except Hall).

Sykes, Halley & Godwin have been mentioned a few times, but I'm not sure that's a view held by the majority.

Which incidentally, makes for a good feeling. We've got rid of a lot of the dross from the squad now. Sure a couple of the players brought in my prove to be dross too, but they deserve the benefit of the doubt first.

I don't think there is any rush to change the text on the banners, this can be done at any time - it is the overall package that seems to be important.

Voting has pretty much isolated the top two so once the deadline has expired why not just put these two in a head to head competition.
