Whatever happened to Wang computers?

Why are we getting a new shirt after only 1 season they should last at least 2 years, it’s not as if the shirts are cheap. You could say you will get a new season ticket for £60 so you can get a new shirt but that’s not the point.

probably because this years one wasnt particulary popular combined with prospect with a large number of returning/new fans all wanting a shirt so ideal merchandising opportunity. No ones forcing you to buy a new one.

Think they went bust, I used to have to use a Wang terminal at Bradford & Bingley. The lady who showed me how to use it looked at me quizically when I said 'Wang computers, brilliant!'

after speaking to a lady at the shirt sale bonanza on sunday its a whole new kit supplier ! so might not be kooga ! well i hope not anyway! they never have enough shirt produced for the start of the season anyway!

Wigsy is correct, the Wang Computers hooped jersey was for 88/89 only. The classic Bukta V jersey was 89/90.

Our deal with Kooga doesn't run out till 2012 IIRC.

not unheard of for a deal to be ended early. I seem to recall we had issues with late delivery both this year and last. imagine thats suitable grounds to get out of contract early if we so wished. few people have speculated that a sponsor may be underwriting the season ticket deal in some form, maybe its a new shirt sponsor hoping to make its money back through much higher shirt sales?

Classic sports of Australia please, or anyone that will make us a cotton replica shirt like Leeds and Hull have had recently.

It is still Kooga. They have very major input indeed on the design of all shirts as do all shirt suppliers - remember they sponsor the clubs so they get a big say. And they have professionals who are seemingly very au fait with contemporary trends in kit and know what is likely to sell.

And that comes from "sources close to" so close that you can't get any closer.

this seasins shirt is the worst ive ever seen ! Dreadfull , Just design us a proper rugby shirt that i can wear on the razz ! you dont see many people wearing on the streets , what does that tell us !

Leeds sell thousands , and they are everywhere all there plastic fans wearing em all home & away , this thing with the shirts winds me right up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen the shirts (designs of), as my father is a director of one of the companies who sponsor the Bulls, neither of the above are the shirts. The away shirt is purple for this season and the home is a toned down version of this years. Hope this helps.
