Im not saying we're going to sign a stand off, if we do, it wont be a British superstar, thats for sure though. Think Thackeray is what we'll end up with if we do sign a stand off from the UK.

Cant start the season with Southernwood or Addy as both have little experience of SL and even less at 6.
Sykes aint a 6 and thats been proved.
Kearney could play 6 at cover but plays FB 100% better.

What about using Addy at stand off? he's played scrum half twice over the last few weeks and been MOM both times..Thats if Orford returns.

Addy's a great prospect but IMO he's more suited to loose forward. We need a bit more pace in the middle.

Someone on the Widnes board says Thackeray has agreed terms with us. From what i've seen of Widnes this year he looks far to good to be playing championship level, his 20+ tries tells you that, but can he handle it a super league level, i'd give him a shot alongside Orford.

When he played against Sheffield the other week he was described as a running stand off - which would obviously be good but he would need to create space and pass for the strike players we appear to be amassing (sp?) and the existing like Kearney

The Bulls have been trying to sign Leon Pryce. That is not rumour or speculation, that is fact.

I really cant see us signing Pryce, but does anyone reckon there would be a big increase in pledges if we announced him as one of the signings.

Although I'd rather have him playing in the halves than Sykes, it's certainly not a signing I'll be getting excited about. Rather poor cover in the halves than players out of position though I suppose.
