No more than a couple. I don't think they could believe how bad he was in his first game, so they gave him another just to make sure. I think he threw a 'sickie' and then disappeared. I don't think he got picked again, though I could be wrong, but I don't think we were quite that desperate. Not totally certain, (It's a while ago, 1980s?) but I don't think he stayed at the club all that long. I've certainly never seen any other player, who quite clearly didn't give a stuff, in over fifty years of watching rugby league.

| I am only 36 so was fairly young when he signed bit i am fairly certain he signed for us for a couple of reasons
- he had a suspension hanging over him abd mangaged to get it cleared whilst at Odsal
- he played against the touring Kangaroos so would say it was 1986. Seem to recall he was in the mix for a tour spot and got left behind so playing for us allowed him to have a crack at those aswell
Is my memory correct anyone?

You don't think the racial abuse he got from some idiots further down down from us that you mentioned to me (I missed it as I'd gone to the loo) will help him decide where he wants to play? No wonder he stayed on the halfway line at the end of the match!

| While I wouldn't pretend Worrincy is the best player we have ever had I think he compares favorably with Hall. Plus he didn't come with a big reputation and is probably on half the money.

If I'd have known who it was that made the comments, I'd happily identify them. I only heard them rather than saw them though. Regardless of what we all think of Worrincy, that sort of stuff is unacceptable and has no relevance whatsoever.
On another note....
I've just seen the highlights of the tries on Sky and had chance to see the first half tries that we couldn't see very well from the stands.
What the F*** is Worrincy doing for the 2nd and 3rd tries? Players run past him without him even making an attempt (except for a pathetic little pat at the ball).
I hadn't questioned his effort before, but seeing that makes me wonder about that!

That was my reaction to the try when I said he didn't even move well apart from head following the player as he ran passed him, no attempt and it wasn't as if he was caught flat footed by some scintillating Stains passing!
In the earlier days of SL Scott Naylor could be a lazy so & so but come the 2nd half of the season he made sure he earned his next contract if it wasn't going to be the Bulls someone else would take him, Worrincy really needs to wise up but he's not the only Lazy B out there at present.
Peter Hood should have saved a fair bit of money not having to pay win bonus's. I think he should treat the long suffering regular fans at the end of the season with it!

Exactly my friend. The Fenech referance was an attempt at irony as to how bad Worrincey is. He is an absolute joke And would be found out in amatuer leagues. He is the worst player i have ever seen in a Northern shirt & he is a full time pro which makes it even more unbelievable that he gets to wear the shirt.
Absolute bag of bollox.

| Aye we signed Fenech in 86 as he was under suspension down under. This loophole was promptly closed by the RFL afterwards. He only played a few games and was complete pants.
Bulliac it was after the days of the long walk to the dressing rooms so he can't have that excuse for being rubbish!!

I saw the highlights in the gym bar and almost made a woman drop her coffee when I exclaimed 'Oh FFS' when I saw his amateur level efforts (bit harsh on amateur RL)

| If he is off to Crusaders it probably helps explain Nobby's hissy fit at the end of the Hull game, what he had done probably just hit him.

| Worrincy had the potential to be a decent 2nd rower after showing some raw ability at London... Problem was Macca is/was a garbage coach and couldn't turn turn him into the player it looked like he should/could've been

I could not disagree more.
The greatest coach in the world couldn't make Worrincy into a good player. He's utter garbage and was at London too. Hence why when we announced the signing, I was on here stating he was the worst player in the league.
Having the physical attributes to be a good player is nowhere near enough. And that's all that Worrincy has or ever will have.

| Karl Pryce is like Tame Tupou
has lots of size and bulk but doesnt really thorw it around as he should
last night he got caught out 3 times (that i counted ) when he was out of positiob when hudds chipped it over his head
not slighty out of position but not even in a centres position

Paul Round played 2 matches for the first team in 1994-5. He even scored a try (against Salford, I think).

At the time, I think we had 5 forwards on our books who had scored over 100 tries each - Medley, Fairbank, Dixon, David Heron and Round (though we were playing Heron mostly at half-back and Medley as an occasional three-quarter).
