| Great effort from the boys despite the atrocious refereeing. Warlord did not let us down in fact he did very well. No stand out performers this week just a workmanlike effort which is all that can be reasonably expected consideing.

| Child = Terrible.
Halley & Platt = Great, but would like to see them paired together again.
The crab man was poo poo today and is going back to last season. Worrincy wasn't too bad though.
Lynch deserves a big rest after another huge effort.
Goalkicking worrying again - we would have been home and dry.
Apart from Sheriffe there were no terrible performances.
Whitehead and Donno are quality!

| Not pretty. And God knows how we managed to win that one. But two points is two points. Despite the combined best efforts of Mr Child to penalise us out of the game yet allow them almost everything, and our own guys blowing it time and again (as well as the wind blowing pretty hard...) - and a Crusaders side understandably looking full of energy whereas we looked full of...not a lot. Two points it is, and you could probably hear that sigh of relief when they knocked on on the line with a minute or so to go the other side of the city.
Worrincy was OK - to be fair. And made what may have been the match-saving tackle, although Sherriffe surely had a huge brain fart that could have cost us - why didn't he leave it? And no-one is knocking Platt nowdays. Whitehead continues to impress, I'd say? Donno looking very promising again. Hall looked more the part this time - gave some much-needed go-forward. Think we'll see Halley on the wing hereafter - that's where he's looking most effective. We need to get this goalkicking sorted! Thought Iestyn must have a squad number, the amount of time he spent on the park. No real stand-out performances I thought, although it was worth going just for that big hit by Scruton! Lynchy (especially), Scrutes and Langers need a break!
Two points and didn't look like any injuries to speak of. Well done the lads for finding a way to win. Just hope Leeds run Cats ragged!

Looks like Leeds are putting them to the sword. Hopefully there will be dry and warm conditions next week and we'll be able to put a few past them, and hopefully the conditions will bring out the best in Orford.

| Bit harsh on Sheriffe I reckon, it was a swirling wind and he perhaps should have left it but who knows where it would have bounced and he was certainly out on his own. I put more blame on the defence for letting Witt have the time to put in such a towering kick. It was pretty obvious that would be the tactic given the conditions.
As for the game, it was pretty much everything I expected it to be. We looked short of zip at times and Crusaders looked more energised for large parts. But we battled courageously against a determined Crusaders and IMO pretty awful refereeing performance from Child. The lack of consistency is an absolute nightmare for coaches and players. He allowed far too much messing about at the PTB and both sides were constantly offside although I felt Crusaders took advantage of the leniency more than we did!
But I think 3 points out of 4 is a very decent result over Easter, I just hope we have enough juice to sneak home with the points in France. If we manage that before the CC tie with Dewsbury we'll be in a great position for the 2nd part of the season.
Well done Bulls.

To be fair there was only one kick that was terrible which was Sykes' in front of the posts. The 2 that Ox missed were both from right over on the left straight into the gale.
I know that it's an area of weakness generally though.

Leeds have still been bad.
Only 60% completion rate, 5 handling errors, 7 missed tackles and 3 penalties.
Catalans are just dire in defence.

Agree with most of that. We were poor and gave them enough ball to win by two or three tries. Just seems gthey were worse than us. Sheriffe was poor and what was Macca thinking of with his bench selection? We should have had another Prop on the bench, if not Koppy then Crossley or Burgess. We must have the weekest bench every week! All that said, a win is a win and after such a quick turn around can't complain too much. What I would say is, 3/4's is a problem for us especially Wingers. If Reardon and Sheriffe are poor, let Andy Smith have a go at least he is a Winger. Macca really needs to get his head round the way he plays his bench and his rotations. We will burn Lynchy out at this rate, we need people to start sharing the load. Donaldson can take the pressure off Langers and the other Props need to take some pressure off Lynch. 2 points in the bag, time for some beer.....

Spot on is that Adey. I was especially pleased to see Worrincy go well and come up with the game saver.
It was almost criminal going into today with no props on the bench though.

| I have no idea what the people slagging Sheriffe are going on about, I thought he had a good game apart from the incident where he didn't let the ball go into touch, but to fair the ball could have bounced anywhere so he had to go for it.
Scruton was great once again and I thought Worrincy played well when he came on so hopefully that will help his confidence.
As others have said it wasn't a classic game, but it's the sort of close game we would have lost last season so I'm happy with the two points.

From where I was sat, it looked like the ball would go clearly into touch - or at worst hit close to the line and bounce into touch.
That said, had Witt (was it?) put a load of spin on it and had it landed in the field of play and bounced back then we'd all have been slating Rikki for letting it bounce. It DID look like it was going into touch one way or the other though from where I was - but its easier to call that from above than when its bearing down on you with some big men pounding down after it.

The kick was a nasty one and the ball was really spinning in the air, the ball could have gone literally anywhere, it probably would have gone into touch but he didn't take the chance. Even with that error I thought he had a good game and there were much more obvious errors from other players without even a mention of them.

I agree, I think somebody let an error over shadow what was a decent performance from Rikki. Certainly didn't have a shocking game like some suggest.

| Not a classic by any means but it was never going to be really. I'm really proud of the boys today. They were out on their feet for the last ten but dug deep. Well played.
Once again, some eccentric refereeing decisions that generally ruined the game as a spectacle.
Thought Whitehead was excellent, as were Scruton and Lynch.
Sykes the pick of the backs for me. And please keep halley on the wing.
