Back on topic (if there ever was one), I don't see the fuss in Halley. He tries hard and he can run fast, big deal. For a full back he isn't the sort of creative player that forms the spine of some teams along with 6, 7 and 9, he isn't strong enough to break tackles or be a dangerous broken field runner, and his support play could probably be a lot better. Or maybe Bradford just aren't using him effectively enough...

It will be interesting to see how he goes this year alongside Orford et al especially if he truly has made the full back position his own. It's a shame Platt didn't continue the form at Bradford shown in his first half season because England are in dire need of a full back with a bit of attacking flair - at present it seems Halley is far ahead of him.

Well all I can say is if you guys don't rate him (I know that's not the same as being over rated) we'd have him back at Wakefield like a shot. He was great for us.

In the vein of past Bulls wingers he does lack a definitive hair style
TV and Leslie- voluminous, Reardon - minimum. McAvoy- coiffered.

Hair is overrated.

More players should be well groomed like Nero. They should take a leaf out of Fieldens book and take better care of themselves using male cosmetics. They are AMbassadors of the game after all and we are competing with soccer stars who spend thousands on makeovers and the like.

And I don't just mean shaved heads that make them look like thugs (or in Deacons case an ageing Boy George).

I don't think you have to be strong to be a dangerous broken field runner though. Surely pace is more important?
