I only ever had a problem with one (former) moderator on here. I resolved that problem simply by going away until he did. That is of course the route open to anyone who has an issue with moderation? For the avoidance of doubt, I find the current crop of moderators to be fine upstanding fellows, whose conduct in running this board can only be beyond reproach and who should collectively be nominated for at least a peerage.

For the avoidance of doubt, my comment (in response to BP's roll-eyes at ME) was indeed aimed primarily ME not Blotto (or indeed our regular punishing friend, sorry MDF

) . After all, the whole world has seen how eager and enthusiastic our public-spirited Caledonian contributor is to share his extensive knowledge and wisdom with the coach - in telling him how he should carry out his duties (or where to go...), and to assure us all that all Macca has to do to gain his approval is to do what he tells him to do. So I was of course merely reiterating a truth universally-acknowledged.

But, also for the avoidance of doubt, my comment was of course of a general nature, and not specific to the point raised above in the thread. As ME regularly says to others when challenged about something (usually preposterous, but that's by-the-by) he posted, I would have thought that the appending of a

(not even just a

but a full-blown

for heaven's sake!

) would have made it clear that I was hardly being that serious?

f I HAD been serious, the wording would have been quite different - as I expect most Adey-watchers will well know. But I think the board is well bored (wahey...) with handbags at dawn; and anyway being serious only encourages him!

Surely a poll is needed to assess the true state of feeling on this issue

Can't remember the thread, but you accused certain posters of not wishing the club well (a clear reference, in my mind, to the Punisher franchise), which ME took as directed at himself.

Eddie's right that he has not explicitly criticised McNamara on the Mason thread. However, in the context of his posting record (particularly his recent ludicrous and swiftly abandoned call for Hood to go, and his description of next year's squad as 'utter pish') I don't find it surprising that people presume implicit digs in other, superficially innocent posts.

Although, in fairness, our best and beautiful monster mick for the sack friend was relatively restrained on here during his last license period. But yes, understood, and yes indeed, that comment was aimed elsewhere not at ME. To be honest (and ref that PM of a couple of days ago) it was not really even aimed at our multiphrenic friend specifically, since I agree that he probably does care for the club despite how he comes across in some of the parallel MB universes. There are plenty of others out there though who for sure do not wish us well. That's one reason why the consensus-building and club-backing initiatives of recent days are IMO so encouraging.

That isn't by any means all of it, but I reckon homophobes are nasty pieces of work, and whilst mercifully I no longer see his posts, I'd be willing to bet (a lot) that he has neither withdrawn it, nor apologised for using it.

And I have no wish to withdraw it OR apologise for it either. FA's phoney hurt fools nobody whatsoever and I really do not care what he wants to think.
