Shenton would be an awesome capture, but I'll believe it when I see it

I know he was more than interested at one stage last season, but thats history.

Shenton would be a great signing but we're not going to be spending 100,000 on any player though IMO.

He's certainly a no frills player, who occasionally goes too high. Every team needs both IMO. His overall penalty count is no worse than most back rowers though. He does come across a bit thick, must be the chin.
A more than useful try return as well.

Cooper Vuna was linked with us as a replacement for Tadulala last season and I mentioned it earlier this season. If Semi is off to Union it would be an excellent replacement.

Didn't someone also post on here stating that they'd spoken to Semi personally about his future, and that he was trying to persuade another Fijian winger - who represented them in the world cup - to come to us if Semi left?

Can't remember his name unfortunately, but I'd still prefer either him or Vuna over Gareth Raynor!

edit: Just had a check back at the old thread and the guy's name is Akuila Uate.

I think it was Terry Monster, although that may just be me making it up. It was someone on here though. Id prefer Vuna or somebody on Semi's recommendation over Raynor, alhtough Raynor is British so doesn't count on quota.
