What worries me slightly about all reports of signing is that they all mentions hes keen to link up with glenn hall but none of reports mention menzies. Is he staying or not?. Was on a few websites last week he'd re-signed but we're taking our time announcing it if so. ( unless we're saving that bit of good news to soften blow if we lose to wigan

we're allowed six overseas of which a maximum of 5 can be quota. so we could have 5 quota and 1 non fed trained. 4 quota and 2 non fed trained etc.
tadulala currently takes a non fed spot but next year would qualify as federation trained so wouldnt take an overseas spot at all. so whether semi stays or goes we currently have space for 2 non fed trained or 1 quota and 1 non fed player.

Right so if BJ and Morro stay = none
Just BJ goes = 1
Both go = 2.

Tbf I can't see us using both so Morro may be able to stay (obviously cap will play a part too)

but they would both have to go to allow us to sign one quota spot. We could retain one of them and sign a non-fed player which is equivalent of the old kolpak player.

no he's full quota. only players who were kolpak when new quota system came in can apply for federation trained, which is how semi would come off overseas and count as federation trained. BJ will stay as a quota player.

well spotted. had nero and jeffries mixed up. so next year we have hall and l'estrange and maybe menzies as full quota plus nero non-fed trained meaning we have space for two more overseas both of whom could be quota players.
