There is not a lot that I can add bar the fact that I could see this coming some time ago. Mr McNamara, no doubt some of your backers (if there are any left as the only ones on this poll have not had the balls top tell us why) will keep on pointing to the games against Leeds and Saints this season as an example of your ability. I see it the other way TBH. We know that the players can play when they want to do so and, as such, know the ability that the side has. It is just a shame that the same players seem to be incapable of raising there game against "lower sides". (I use the term "lower sides" with certain trepidation because there is a good chance that after tonight I would only be able to refer to them in the singular.)

It looks to me like the players do not respect you as otherwise they would maybe do.....

a. as you tell them, or,
b. what they say they will do every week in the press.

TBH, this week was probably the only time that many will have believed what came out in the press in the fact that Mr Worrincy pretty much said that the players had the incorrect attitude and treated a visiting side with disrespect. And for that, what do we get? The same 19 in the squad next week!!!! As guess what? They let you down again.

Maybe if you had any balls you might have thought to drop one or two of these players who are not giving you the 100% effort that you need at the moment then you would get a bit more sympathy but your stubborn-ness to drop the players that you signed shows, to me, that you do not want to admit that they were the wrong players to bring in in the first place.

People will point to the "great efforts" you have gone to in getting the youth policy back on track. Fair enough - but look at the first team? Your tenure has led to embarrassment on the pitch on a number of occasions and Odsal is now eerily quiet as people are beginning to turn their backs on the club thanks to your "efforts" as a coach.

Luckily for you, your boss Mr Hood has less balls than you so you will survive in your job but if you had any dignity you would just walk away and admit that you have been a monumental failure, as you are not ever gonna sort it out.

No , after last night performance we will need a miracle to win another game if he is still in charge.

Personally I think, given a number of factors going in his favor then he "can" turn this around. However, given those factors are not directly under his control - the likes of results going in our favor; players taking some sort (any?) pride in what they personally do on the pitch and in delivering the aspirations and dreams of the faithful; playing to their (by your own posts elsewhere) proven capabilities AND consistently et al. - I'm increasingly of the opinion that he won't. FWIW

Before now I haven't really been on the "give Macca the Sacka" bandwagon, but today I think every real Bulls fan, or even Northern fans will be doing including me. Regardless of their form Salford and Celtic -no disrespect- are two sides we should be playing off the park and coming away with the two points. On paper our last two games should have been in the bag, but the players seemed de-motivated and fed up. It's time to go Steve.

The players are obviously not responding to the coach, we have seen too many poor and disinterested performances now this year. I hope McNamara can turn this around, but I'm not confident he will.

But sacking the coach won't magically turn this around, we need to ship out some dead wood if we're serious about trying to be a top 8 side.

You seriously want to give him more time, which is what i read into the "I hope McNamara can turn this around"? He's had three years, it's his team and he's either allowed or recruited the dead wood you refer to to continue to be in the team. I've watched us continually decline over his tenure and he comes out with the same bland responses each time. I don't care if we've only lost by a few points...a loss is a loss. If's buts and maybes are ok but at the end of the day they don't change the reality of our situation.

I'll sit here now waiting for the excuse of funds e.t.c to be brought out, issue is and this is a big IF we have financial constraints, it doesn't appear to be hampering some of our rivals i.e. Wakefield.

Even if we have a tight budget, it's nothing to what it's going to be like if this continues. People will stay away and the people who still go because they bought season tickets this year, will consider if they want to continue with that next year. Action needs to be taken now before it's too late!!

There's nothing knee jerk about the poll, our players have not been performing to the sum of their abilities since mid 2007.

For a few weeks, or the odd game you can accept some of the arguments that have been put up to justify it, but when it gets into its third season it becomes a joke to even try and defend what is happening.

Even those who think we should just wait it out for the emergence of all this brilliant young talent we supposedly have must admit that the coaching staff don't show any indication that they'd be able to get the best out of them if and when they do come through?

This is really beginning to damage the club now, "casual" fans are becoming never attending fans, and regular fans are becoming casual fans, if action isn't taken soon then there will be big trouble ahead.

Well you read me wrongly then. I'd like to see someone else brought in to have a go. I actually don't think McNamara is as bad as the results suggest but he is failing to get the players playing for him. We're stuck with the majority of them (although there a fair few who deserve to go also) so perhaps we have little choice. My point was, that even without McNamara, we're still left with some players who are not being as professional as we expect from them. But we should be doing a lot better than we're doing, even with some passengers.. that book has to stop with the coaches.

But I honestly don't think he will be given the boot, so yeah obviously I McNamara to be able to turn it around.

No dis-respect to Celtic or Salford, but i don't understand how you can go and beat the two top teams in Super League (Saints and Leeds) yet lose to the bottom two



I think we should be looking for a new coach, any other big club would, but why are we not?
I know there's not many great coaches avaliable but someone must be better than Macca to take over.

Winning against Saints & Leeds, was it great confident coaching, or was it lady luck..............

Teams do have their 'off-days' but it still takes a decent performance to beat one of those sides. That's been the problem this year. We havn't been winning against sides we should on paper beat, and even though we are losing, we arn't exactly putting on a good performance, so that the fans can say 'we were beaten by the better team'. There isn't anything more fustrating than your team losing badly, yet winning against very good teams.

Its like their cheating the fans. Playing well when they can be @rsed

To an extent i disagree. Was Jefferies a poor player at Wakey? Were Lynch and Platt poor at Cas? Was Sykes poor at Quins?

Remember, in the infancy of SL, Bradford made taking on players from other clubs and improving on them a cottage industry. Now it's the complete opposite.

I strongly believe that, under the right sort of coach, this squad is good enough for top 3. We haven't got that coach. Simple as.

So you do not think that half backs and backs and squad depth is important

Jeffries was at best inconsistent at Wakey, Lynch was ok and has improved, Platt was poor with a bit of potential but has gone backwards and Sykes was average.

The problem is they were brought in to replace the likes of Pryce, Paul, Anderson, Withers and Hape who were better players. When you add in the likes of Tupou (to replace Vainikolo) and Scruton (to replace Vagana) you can see why we're much lower in the table.

Our recruitment has been poor and top players have been replaced with average or poorer ones.

time is running out for macca im afraid. If we dont make the play-offs (which is looking very likely) then he has to go IMO. give him til the end of the season, wee if he meets his promises, if not get rid. I hope I am wrong and we go unbeaten now until the end of the season and we beat leeds 50-0 in the grand final with menzies gettin man of steel, and worrincy getting top try scorer.

If we dont make the 8 - get rid
If we make the 8 and no progression in the play offs - get rid
If we win GF - maybe keep!
