| Quote ="Wigan Bull"Wasn't it rumoured that Hanley said something along the lines of "I'll see you in the 2nd division for that" (after the sending off) and Whitfield ended up being demoted for a week!???'"
Dunno, but I wouldn't be surprised. Wigan did have an awful lot of influence with the RFL and that increased with Lindsay moving there later.

| The first ever game at the JJB in 2000.
The 12-12 draw was just magic.

An end of season play-off game in I think 97 or 98.
I took my (rather posh) work mate to the game and she did ok picking up the rules of the game and the general etiquette of watching games at wigan until trying to order a pimms at the bar under the stand. I don't think they'd ever ever been asked for a pimms in the long history of central park.
I still miss going there

| The irony of this thread should not go unnoticed.
This trip down memory lane to relive former glories is very 'Wigan'. There's usually a thread on their board about the glory days of Edwards, Hanley et al when times are bad - is this the future for RAB?

Didn't Robbie score a hattrick in that game and start a fight with Shaun Edwards? I think I have it on video somewhere.

Aye, Edwards nearly took his head off during the try scoring process, Robbie too exception. Big brother Henry had to step in IIRC

Explains why Robbie refused to pass to him during his brief stint then.
