Tupou wasn't making his debut last year either. If Sheriffe is still making similar mistakes later in the season, then the criticism will be justified.

When people were slating Tupou last year it wasn't his first game on the wing for the Bulls.

It was in response to this that you posted "He isn't the first winger to be sucked in and he won't be the last!" so why make a point about it not being Tupou's debut.

Indeed but Tupou was criticised last year because he was poor, not just because he let in a try in a game.

My point is that that Sheriffe was on his debut so is still finding his feet in our side. His made a poor judgement call on Sun, hopefully he will make a better decision in the coming weeks.

But I suppose the reasoning is that it is not his first game on the wing ever is it?

Quality player when he isn't tense or anxious. Showed on fleeting glimpses of his potential at the Bulls. Is he off contract at the end of 2010?

don't know wether hes going back to quins but fact weve signed 2 wingers in last 2 days, plus halley already on books suggests he won't be at bradford next year.

We asked him at the post-Wakey beer fest if he would be with us next year and he said he didn't know.

Which with the signings announced so far, I would expect now means no.

I don't care where the doughnut ends up, as long as he no longer plays for us. Good old Mick is doing what I certainly hoped and clearing out the club of the utter bobbins that McNamara thought were good players.

It is sweet to follow the Bulls these days, because the McNamara era is swiftly being eradicated.

While Sheriffe has in fact done very well after an extremely shaky start, and is one player that cannot ever have been faulted for effort, his problem was to be following close after the likes of top class players like Vainikolo and Vaikona. He turned out to be a decent signing for the job he was asked to do. It is not his fault that he is nowhere near that class, nor ours that we couldn't afford a Folau, and I wish him well at Wakey.

I think he had a good start to this season, but aside from that, he's been very average. Just as everyone started to praise him (including myself) on here, he seemed to go downhill and back to last year's form again. 5 or 6 good games in two seasons just isn't good enough, regardless of how the team are doing.

I agree that comparisons will always be made between our past awesome wingers like TV and Les, but even without that element, Rikki has still been very disappointing.

You are right on the effort front though, I don't think I could ever accuse him of lacking in that area. And I do wish him all the best.
