Call me a malformed Monkey but I like Ganson. I particularly appreciate the fact that if you do something worthy of a red card then you'll damn well get one. Unlike Russel "on report" Smith for example.

So on that basis =yellow[size=59(and not because I secretly support cas)[/size I'll also be going to the game.

My moderation abilities are SO acutely terrible that I just deleted Asim's witty response by mistake. Rest assured it was absolutely superb and expertly showed me up for thinking Ganson was reffing the Cas game.

He called me a mong though which I find offensive.

Leaving aside the appalling mathematics, There are a couple of obvious reasons for why we have a lower win percentage in super league with Ganson as referee than overall without him.

a) We often get him for the bigger games against the likes of Leeds, Saints, Wigan etc it stands to reason that we would lose an higher percentage of these games especially given our record against these sides in the last few years.

b) Ganson was lower down on the refereeing pecking order in the earlier days of super league it is only from around 2002-2003 onwards that he has been one of the top referees. This means that he has refereed more Bradford games in recent years (as TVOC's list clearly shows). It is during this time that super league has become more competetive with less easy beats then there were in the early days when you only needed to turn up to win against some teams. It is also in recent years that the Bulls have dipped in quality which means losing an higher percentage of games than we used to.

Given the circumstances that I outlined above it would appear that there is nothing to suggest that Ganson is in anyway biased against Bradford. We certainly have been on the wrong end of a few contorversial decisions from Ganson over the years, but then I'm sure there are many fans of other clubs who could say that about particular referees, it does not indicate that referees are in any way biased against those clubs.

The only questionable decision I can remember Ganson giving in our favour was when he harshly (IMO) red-carded Fletcher (IIRC) at the KC a few years ago.

Him to referee the match normally and then you be on here afterwards kicking off about how bad he was and how he helped Catalans win.

FFS if he did the above and we lost fair and square I wouldn't have a moan in me.

Even allowing for the games The Perfect Man gets to ref being the "bigger" games, us only winning 1 from last 10 under him looks mighty dubious?

In his defence I am sure Ganson would say the forwards failed to lay a platform.

Looking at the rseults it would seem that he used to like us when we had a good team because then he let us win. Since we have had a decidedly average team he doesn't like us anymore and we lose. If it is all down to the ref then why are we spending so much of our cap on the players? Why don't we just sign a couple of refs instead?
