as we were meant to have signed kearney from oz but nothing said which i feel prob means we have decided to sign someone who may not have been availble before

i think bulls prob were never in hunt for millard and just his agent talking to bump money up and think same with chris walker as think he will stop in oz or go to jap union

All well and good but maybe its not quite so clear cut.. If the club has signed a replacement, maybe there are reasons that player/current-club don't want it announced yet (E.g. said player may be looking at rep call up for AUS, which almost certainly wouldn't happen if he'd signed for us - no I'm not saying that is the case!). Or maybe the club hasn't actually signed A replacement but instead has 2 or 3 strong possibilities near to signing from which it will pick the best once the finer details are worked out.... Remember 'Ellis gate' and the aftermath of that?

The Guardian reckons Millard's got a bigger offer from Wakey and chosen them over us.

Fair enough. I don't think he would have been worth a big money contract anyway, the quota spot would be better used on a quality half or an even better centre.

. I would expect us to sign one or the other with the probability of Sykes switching. Platt & Crookes sharing the centre spot wouldn't be too good for a whole season imo.

If that's the case it further illustrates how far we've fallen as club.

Because Morro, Newton, Solomona, Cook, BJ will have been on a massive chunk of the cap when put together and I don't expect that to be used up on just Hall and L'Estrange. I can only hope that we wouldn't offer Millard more because we are saving some salary cap for a great signing

If Sam goes we'll have even more space under the cap.

And will be in dire need of a top prop imo. Lynch and Scruton are both very good players, but two just isn't enough. Especially when Hall is likely to be playing in the second row. The younger props are nowhere near good enough yet to be classed as top players.

At this rate I'm expecting a call from McNamara, my boots are clean and I'm ready.

If Sam goes we should put in an outrageous offer for James Graham. He'd be one of the only people who would be able to be a straight replacement imo. Not going to happen obviously though.
