To think...had we have won not drawn against Hull KR, we'd have been 8th now and not likely to be evicted from there unless there was a huge shift in points difference whatever happens next week. One bloody drop goal!!!

Yup. And I'm wrong cos we'd still need Cats to lose. But shows how close its all been!

Tbh whilst i'll be happier, this season will have still been an extreme disappointment when/if we finish 8th.

I look at Celtic home loss and Cas home and away as the big "gutters" of the season. Would be home and dry now with those results.

Not to mention countless other games we threw away! But we cannot rewrite our start to the year. Hopefully we will have learned some lessons and have a strong end to the year.

I'm pretty confident now that we'll make the 8. We'll beat Hull, and I can't honestly see Cats winning at St Helens.

I just hope that if we win a match or two in the play offs, it won't be used as an excuse to paper over the cracks and pretend that all is well. The reality is still that we've been poor for most of the season. And whilst we were comfortable winners today I didn't see a ruthless streak that made me think that Leeds or St Helens will be quaking in their boots just yet.

It's was mid 2007. We beat Quins (h), Catalan (a), Hudds (h), Hull FC (H) and Leeds (a) - which was Lesley's last match

For your info a 18+ pts win at hull still a big ask would see us in positive GD and possibly give us the 4th best attack in the competition

So going by that table, in addition to the permutations already discussed which involve us winning at Hull, if we draw and Catalans lose, either of the other two teams would need huge wins to overtake us - Wolves a winning margin of 49+ or Quins a winning margin of 73+.

You guys must be favourites for 8th now, Catalan away at Saints, if they win then rugby league is daft. All you gotta do is beat Hull. Id like to see you in the play-offs as we couldnt play you until the grand final anyway which i doubt would happen so good luck next week.

Some of our games this season would suggest we have no chance if Hull decide to play.
Form suggests we could do it.

Either way I think it's safe to say that the play-offs will come a week early and next week will be very intense.
