| Harrigan seemed to have summed the game up well, Its obvious Hull would be up for this after getting spanked by their bitter rivals also it was there 2nd Full Team match on the bounce, the fact the Bulls underperformed was no suprise. MP may be a bit disappointed with some of the defence, but I'm sure he will be asked about it at Wedsnesdays Forum, the only thing Langers would have learned is that his head isn't as hard as Radders.
Looking at the usual muppets on T & A forgetting its a pre season and no points have been lost, they never learn

| TBF i wasnt there today as i had other commitments (Hosp radio show) but i'll be doing Catalans game with Mick next sunday and i personally don't think we can read too much into this, yes we got trounced but it was a run-out and more for fitness which as a lot of you have said is not there, What squad would we all start with next week? can only use what you have and FTR im a supporter or Potter Rome wasnt built in a day!!! Jeffries though i have to say i don't rate and understand why we bought Sammut as he can play most games and use BJ as back-up.

| I didn't go but it sounds like we were poor and whilst that's not what we wanted to hear you have to bear in mind Scruton, Langley and Diskin are all coming back from long injuries. Disko and Langers both went off early whilst Koppy and Heath didn't play. These lads are gonna take a little while to get back up to full confidence, especially Langers and Scruton who have had torrid times with injury and illness. Hull were well beaten in the derby and came out firing whereas we had a run out against Dewsbury which is hardly comparable. I think those talking about a 'long season' is a slight over reaction.
However, I am concerned to see he started Walker in the centres, somewhere he notably failed last year. Don't get me wrong I like Chev and think he runs the ball in hard and would have him in the second row before Sibbit or young Bateman but when are we gonna accept his days in the backs are over. Again, why have started both friendlies with Jeffries at stand off when we went out and signed a new stand off (with good reason)?

| Well he did give Jeffries the number 6 shirt. I've said it before IMO i believe Jeffries best position in Scrum Half. With Gale now at 7 he must be 4th choice half-back behind Sammut and Briggs?

That's the testimonial shirt. The back of the shirt I'm guessing is mainly white to make the numbers clearer.
I think it's ridiculous that Bradford wouldn't wear a kit that didn't clash with a one-off shirt for a testimonial. It's not difficult, is it!
If you'd have let Radders know, he could have designed a shirt for the Bulls and sold it as part of his testimonial as well, making a bit of money and solving this problem at the same time.

It's the problem of the fans that watch the game (including your own) and the players playing the game (including your own), so yeah, I'd say it's a partly your problem

If you're so emotional about that, maybe you should take it up with RLFans.

| Anyway................ who cares it was only a friendly if it was a league game i might of been abit more concerned, im sure the majority of our squad went out there taking it easy tryin there best not to get injured for Catalans next week all apart from Langley who most would probably expect to get injured,
It might be fair to reserve judgement until the serious games have actually started (just an opinion )

He was signed before Thursday though so not sure how that on its own suggests he can’t play, was there something else?
Have we given him a contract then and basically paying him to train until we can register him? All that RFL money must have gone to our heads already!

You can't give any player a squad number unless their registered with the RFL.

Could it not be a case of them telling people he's got a number before he's fully registered?
Like Wigan with their loyal supporter number or whatever it is, they obviously aren't registered as a real squad number but its up on their website.

| Wow. Well after viewing that I have changed my mind.
1. Too many dropped ball from Bradford.
2. Too much falling off the tackle.
3. Some of the 3/4 line not sticking with their man.
4. Need to run harder.
5. Kearney and Kear both poor in the highlights, HOWEVER it was their first 'Real Game' against Super League sides.
6. The Kit Clash, although I did post my thoughts before.
These are the negatives. I do take into account that this will not be our starting 13 against Catalans. Even just the inclusion of L'Estrange can make a big difference to our side.
1. Crookes is friggin fast. Nearly caught Briscoe, if he could have just rolled him into touch or kept hold of him, good effort though. And he outpaced most of the Hull team when getting his 90m try even though he looked like he was hobbling. And not many people outpace Briscoe even on the other side of the pitch.
2. Purtell looked like he wanted it. Looked like he was up for it. From the highlights most of the tries wern't actually his fault. As a sliding defence it is the inside man who needs to be aware and for the first try Kear had gone across to cover Briscoe and Kearney went across to cover Briscoe which he shouldn't have. He should have stuck with Yeaman alongside Purtell then go across if he needed to. Stupid mistake from Bateman, but maybe we shouldn't have tried throwing the ball about in our own 20?
3. Couldn't do much about McKinnon's first try. Class kick from Seymour and only Diskin saw it coming but he was too late. Kearney should have maybe done better in the tackle but it is hard to tackle someone like that when he's stepping back inside you near the line.
4. Kearney dropping it resulted in a try. No-one reacted, O'Brien stood there with his back turned. Players need to be more alert.
5. Class line running from Yeaman for his 2nd try. Unstoppable. Joseph should have tried banging him though, he should have seen him round the back.
6. Kearney should have knocked it dead for Yeaman's 3rd try. No excuse for that.
7. Sammut should have tackled Horne at the left hand side of the pitch. Walker should have tackled the guy who offloaded. Crookes tried his best to stop the pass and the man but should have focused on the man. Poor defence.
8. McKinnon's 2nd try could have been prevented. Kearney should have taken the support runner while Kear had the winger. This try was very much like the one Wigan scored against us last year in the cup when Jeffries tackled Carmont/Charnley and Royston failed to pick up Richards on the inside. However McKinnon should have been tackled by the bearded guy and Purtell should have gone for him, however Purtell went to pick up the other support runner which was the correct decision.
9. Briscoe's try was a result of us not defended man to man, they had a 2 man overlap and Kear did extremely well to tackle Yeaman although Hargreaves should have had Briscoe but he over-run. What a take from Briscoe and practically impossible to stop when unopposed. Crookes did extremeley well, should of tackled him but this happens.
10. Last try there was too many of us just watched the ball instead of attempting to dive on it.
Again though this is not the first choice 13 whereas Hull's practically was minus Lynch and Heremaia. And well done Gentle for recruiting Seymour and McKinnon. Absolute class on their day. Looking forward to watching Hull on Sky and will no doubt make the top 8.

| Kearney at fault for four of the first five tries. He tracks too far across for the first, is nowhere near his own posts for the second and drops the ball for the fourth. Is it the 5th where he shoulkd
Purtell shouldn't be run around for the first try but I'm sure he'll sharpen up.
Great pace for Crookes try. He pulls away from Sharpe and Briscoe can't catch him. He's a tad unlucky with the Briscoe tackle.
