Not a deal breaker, and would require some organisation to fix, but the first thing is that F/T players train early mornings most days and P/T train in the evening, after work. You would need them all to train together hopefully.

I can think of a load of reasons why it would never work and struggle to think of 1 reason why it could work.

Ive always said the best part time players are better than the worst full time players and unfortunately Bradford only had the pick of the worst full time players at such short notice. If Bradford went part time I think they would still be a good draw for players but staying full time nobody with ambition is going to end up playing for them.

Hard to disagree with that statement to be honest. Coming back from C1 will be a tall order. Not sure we will build a squad good enough to bounce back at the first time of asking. We are dooomeddd, someone turn off the life support.

I've said from day 1 we wouldn't go down I wasn't aware what the plan from the 3 was just something was brewing apparently their is or was a plan off us been back in super league next year.

I do wonder now if that was just bluster to keep as many of you on board as possible. As the Bottom 8 keep their points then I think there is only one outcome as things stand. BUT, that's as things stand so who knows.

I haven't heard or seen anything to make me change my view that we are relegated.

I am now reasonably confident that Andrew Chalmers isplanning and putting things in place for the longer term. He gave us too many specifics for that to be in doubt.

I am still a bit confused though as to why therefore we are in this slump, although it literally may be as simple as we didn't have the money to get the additional bodies in to halt the slump.

I think a sucessful season in C1 will in the short term be better for the club than going again in the Championship, as we are very much going to been in Year 1.2 - this year has in my mind been a totally wasted year.

I don't think the future is bright. It could be or it might not, it is way too early to say. We have sound plnas on paper but they cost money. We have some good juniiors but can we keep the key ones. We have reasonable crowds but what will they be after the disappointment of this year?

OTOH we will have significantly more cash next year, as we won't have to pay the rugby debts again, plus whatever seasontticket sales there may be, all that money will be in the pot unlike this year, plus we already apparently have a full set of sponsors signed up whereas much of teh sponsorships last year were paid to the old guard.

But at the moment my abiding concern is that although ChaLowe must surely be putting money in, by all accounts there isn't any significant money for much in the way of major (even by our standards) signings. That could work either way, though, some of our best acquisitions in modern history didn' actually cost a lot, if anything, so with a wet sail and a fair wind, it can be done.

I'd like to hope that next season we can be a bit of a poor man's Toronto, and have the first full pre-season and full season with all our players for them to get to know the coach and each other, and start to build something. If it all stays reasonably intact as AC suggests it should, then if we are the form team next year we might have a tolerable season as the big dog in the yard.

And of course there is the possibility that as was reported on radio that there may be an extended Championship next year so promotion but no relegation. I'm sort of 50/50 on that one. If it hapens then I assume it is at the behest of the Championship clubs as the last thing they want is the Bulls out of this league, and the C1 clubs don't realy get a say. It would also save the Bash for the RFL as without us that could actually be a financial disaster.

So in summary I'm kinda teetering on the edge of a touch of mild optimism that we might actually survive, and if we played our cards right, have a reasonable 2018. But it must be said that there is a very hard road ahead. I wouldn't even want to mention the SL words as the top division is a seven day camel ride away from where we are now.

Come on, any rational person must realise that this can't possibly be true. I don't care what you heard or who told you, but even you must be able to see how this would never be allowed to happen.
To jump from the relegation position in the championship straight back to SL is insanity.
Think of all the clubs we'd be screwing over in such a process, it would do more damage than good to the entire sport - make a mockery of it even. No club is that important, certainly not us.

Anyway I think we're down or possibly staying where we are in a larger championship. Am I optimistic about the future? No. We're still stuck in a downward spiral. There has been no evidence of anything other than fire fighting and managed decline. The owners have no money or they would have at least employed more backroom staff to improve club administration, marketing, PR etc. When I see evidence of us moving forward I'll be back on board. Until then I'll be very unlikely to go to many games.

I saw quite a few Fax fans talking about us on Twitter on Sunday night, as well as a couple of Keighley fans. Still more obsessed with what happens at Bradford than with their owns teams.

It's worth us getting put back into Super League when we don't deserve it, just to see those Fax & Cougars fans go into complete meltdown.

I'm of the same opinion that it won't happen and is ludicrous. But then, when someone told me Paul Rowley had left Leigh to go and take up a big money offer from a Canadian team who were about to join the English league system, I p*ssed myself laughing at how ludicrous that was too.

FWIW the only far-out theory that I wouldn't actually rule out is the one Karl Harrison apparently talked about, namely expanding the Championship by 2 teams for next year so promotion of C1 isn't affected but whoever is in the relegation spots doesn't go down.

Now, whether or not that affected the Bulls is therefore completely incidental. It may, or may not, be the reason or part of the reason for doing it, and that we'd never know, but it wouldn't be "unfair" in any way, why would it? No skin off anyone's nose unless you count schadenfreude of C1 clubs who would have got the odd better payday. It would be like the reverse of the situation where we got booted when for the first time since Adam wor a lad there was an actual relegation, so in fact it could actually be seen as a bit of poetic justice, especially given the absolute kicking we've had from the RF: in terms of -12, 100k rugby debts etc.

Think everybody on here agrees that we should have started in CH1 this season. Had that happened the club would have had the backing of the majority of fans with a kind of siege mentality. As it is we will in CH1 and the fans have deserted having suffered a season out of our depth in the CH for no apparent reason.

Longer term what happens to the "payment holiday" for stadium upkeep. That millstone will be back soon and there's no doubt we can't afford it.

If this transpires and we are kept in the championship as a result of an expansion, then the mods on here had better be ready because we will cop a monumental amount of flak from the usual suspects, and perhaps some new faces too.
Incidental or not, many will believe that such a move was purely to keep us in this division and nothing else. To be honest I couldn't blame them either. If this ends up happening then the timing of it is too perfect to look beyond any other purpose but to save our sorry state of a club.

Or in other words, you don't actually know anything.
