At first glance Eastmond's tackle on Jeffries looked like a copy of Edwards on Clyde at Wembley 1994 however in this case there was no damage done. I suspect the initial contact may have been chest high. It certainly wasn't great technique from Eastmond even if he didn't intend to do any serious damage.

Tony Hannan's comments in the Sadler Express take some believing, as a hack I suspect he'd have been sat in the stand over 60m away so I'm not sure how he could've had as good a view as the fans on the pop side or the officials.

One of the flag wavers actually came on to the pitch and we all know how bad an incident has to be to get any action from the living dead. Personally, I think it is about time that the Bulls had an enforcer type. I'm sick of seeing other teams turn up and give it out while we meekly sit back.

Well from where i was stood (pop side,on the 10m line) it was a high swinging arm.

It was a swinging arm, but it was nowhere near his head. I can't believe that some people even consider that it was. The touchjudge was merely influenced by the crowd directly behind him.

Out of interest, where were you viewing this from? Coz if you were behind the sticks with the other Saints fans, you were a damn site further away than the people I know on here saying it was high. I was also dead level with it, and it looked high to me.

I'm not saying it WAS high, as we didn't have the benefit of replays, which often show they weren't as bad as it first looked. However a number of people who were much closer than you had the first reaction of it being high.

I appreciate people may be viewing with a slightly biased look, but remember that works both ways.

It appears Wilkin has been issued with a warning letter (which must be about his 74th letter). Eastmond not even mentioned, so looks like the replay suggested it wasn't so bad. Much like Bailey's on James Graham it appears.

So apparently Wilkin was warned twice on the pitch and then again in a letter. I'm sure if he does it again, they'll warn him, followed by a warning and then another warning.

He's pinched that off Fatty (or maybe Andrew Voss) from thursday night

I was actually stood as near as could be to this incident and the contact was quite clearly around the chest/upper arm area.

A penalty was clearly the wrong call and Mr. Hannan was absolutely spot on.

Well as I said upon first glance it looked wild but as I stated I suspected it hit the chest due to the lack of damage done.

I was sat on the opposite side of the pitch with a cap and sunglasses on and I said there was nothing in it either, working on the Phil Gould maxim that there's never anything in high tackles and anyone who says otherwise should have to be made to play origin in a pink tutu, like the big girl they obviously are.
