Both forwards I think, Jordan can play prop or 2nd row. I think Mason is a 13.

Initially, I see this as a risk to be honest.

Two young kids, neither of whom immediately fill the obvious positional void in our squad, coming into a side already having to play our own academy forwards a bit too soon. If these lads are even half a Burgess then great stuff but at the moment I can't see how this deal will go to fixing things on the field.

But, hey ho, needs must and I hope they do a decent job. And for the forseeable, this takes us up to our 5 loanee limit.

you will also have the added bonus of both lads coming back with a point to prove so they should be just the players you need in your current fight.

I'm chuffed at this news. Sure they are not the big props we need, but they are quality youngsters with a big future ahead of them.

They were picked as some of the best young English talent, just because they couldn't crack AUS/NZ, there is still plenty of time in the future.

We need numbers, especially in the forwards. These kids will raise the playing standards as our current starters will not be guaranteed to start.

If we include friendlies, how many players have worn the shirt this year? Any stattos with it to hand? It must already be a club record for number of players used in a single season.

It's around 35 (I think) in Superleague so given players like Saltonstall played in the friendlies I'd guess it'll be towards the 40 mark

I think just about any players are a good thing for us right now. Don't know much about these lads but hopefully they're up to SL rugby. I'd like to think we still have a permanent signing or two in the pipeline but that might just be wishful thinking. Even 1 experienced Prop forward would make a big difference to our side at the moment.
