I'd pick Winterstein in front of a lot of our squad including Walker, Olbison or any of the kids that have come up from the under 19s this year. Out of the squad there's probably only Fergie, Addy and a fit Bateman who would defo get the nod in front of him.

I'd have preferred another prop but I don't see anything wrong with this.

Correct. Although he hasn't played a lot from what I can see (don't follow the NRL), so wouldn't bother watching the NRL games to see him play.

Yeah, when I was told which club it was, I assumed he wouldn't be a first team regular because they have a cracking pair of starting centres. But signing a reserve player from the NRL isn't such a bad thing as the quality of their reserve grade rugby is pretty good.

I think he's probably a Samoan Olbison (attitude criticism aside).

On the Bulls squad page I realise the stat regarding the player's weight may differ, but does anyone else think a back rower or two should bulk up more and move to the front row?

As Olbison for an example, he's a couple of kilos lighter than Evans, but also around 8 kilos (just over a stone) lighter than McCarthy-Scarsbrook for example.

Seems well respected on that forum, looking forward to seeing him in RAB.
