It's an utter disgrace. Okay he was fouled but it was not malicious purely instictive. It was a penalty full stop. Problem is that Ratboy was knocked out and according to Statler & Waldorf on Sky, he is the greatest player in the game bar none. That fact alone meant GR was doomed from the start. The video refs should not be allowed to watch the replay in slow motion, it distorts the reality. Eddie and Stevo are now influencing the referees.

VR was used when Andy Coley was sent off at Catalans last year apparently. Seems it has happened before i have been very reliably informed. The tackle was reckless, thats enough to warrant the punbishment under the rules, end of. Incidently, Sam got a ban earlier in the season when he was 3rd or 4th man into a bit of biff, so he gets targetted by the refs too.

Instinctive is when someone changes direction & a player shoots his arm out & invariably catches the other player high. No way was Raynor's tackle instinctive, whether he was aiming for the head or arm is a different matter. The next time Ryan Bailey swings his arm across an opposing players chest to dislodge or clamp the ball, misses completely & knocks the player unconscious I am sure you will all support his defence it was an accident, he shouldn't be sent off or banned.

In order to restore political neutrality to this board, the Daily Mirror is blaming Margaret Thatcher for Raynor's ban. Arthur Scargill is on his way to Red Hall as we speak to form a picket line and stand round a brazier burning effigies of the milk snatcher and Steve 'Tory Boy' Ganson.

Like it. I'm sure they are blaming Raynor for the death of Princess Di as well. Or at least he looks that sort.

No I'd now expect the ref to go to the video ref, red card him if the VR says so, then expect Bailey to get a 2 match ban and a fine. Thats the precedent thats been set and that we should expect to be followed from now on.

Also Tomkins did change direction while Raynor was making the tackle, he started to dive at the ground. Thats whats made the difference on where the hit went in. And a 2 foot drop between start and end of the tackle is entirely possible at the speed he was going.

I don't go in for these consipracy theories though, the refs are just this bad and I suspect most on the this board pay less attention to the howlers that happen to other teams.

Massive credit to Ganson for being up with the play to see the offence. Something no Bradford player managed.

I am still looking forward to a ref going to the VR for the next high tackle.

Its a YES from me. Thought Raynor was stupid to do what he did. Was reckless and on the goal-line. Could have prevented a try. Red-card was the correct decision and a deserved fine for Raynor. Not sure about the games banned. Could have gone either way. Spot on about the consistency of referees this season. The only referee that has showed consistency this season and hasn't bowed down under pressure is Mr. Ganson.

Nothing new here, the VR was asked about the Adrian Morley tackle when he was sent off after 12 secs for GB.

But they only did that because the RFL knew he would play for the BUlls 2 years later.

Watching this one back you may be right. I seem to remember him asking the VR was it a clear head shot, however watching it on Youtube, Stevo is ranting over it! I wish they would keep quiet!

He did only pull the red card out 65 seconds after the incident though.

I think they tend to wait for the player to get up and make sure they are ok before issuing cards dont they, in this case i think Robbie Kearns was up quite sharpish..........................

And as for Stevo, well............................... i dont know why he bothers tbh !!!
