| Quote ="phillgee"one of my favourite moments was the bulls beating leeds at headingly but can't remember which year. vainikolo went the length of the field to score and one person jumping up and down in the crowd caused several others to due to how crammed in that end we were. the stewards tried to keep the yellow marked steps clear for all of 5 minutes before they realised they were on a losing battle.
Reardon hammered McGuire into touch when he was on his way to the try line that game too IIRC.
Leeds tried to announce a lower attendance figure to stop them getting fined for having too many people in the stadium (one of the stands was being renovated) but failed. I'll never forget that atmosphere.'"
2003 that was with over 23k inside Headingley. The Western terrace was packed.

We already have a popular video sharing website channel, I'll have some spare computer time over the winter and if we could get persmission and some clips (maybe take the winners from polls like this?) we could maybe take Mike up on his offer of suppling material if the club can't, and we could put a few online over the offseason for people to watch and discuss?
I can't make tonights (?) meeting BTW, and sorry to the mods for some serious thread drift

The first game has to be the Halifax comeback game, Jesus what a game.

| Looking at the other options as well, another highlight from 2005, argubaly the most topsy-turvy Bulls season ever..
..after losing our first two games (Wakefield and Widnes IIRC?), coming back to beat Wigan AT Wigan was a great moment, 3 tries in the last 10? Always remember jumping up and down uncontrollably when Withers ran in at our end in 'that' green shirt!

Yes lost at home to Wakefield (although Ganson did his best) and then put in an awful last 10 at the Stobart Stadium.
Those last ten minutes at the JJB Stadium were amazing and I never thought we would pull it back.

| The Widnes fans chanted "Going Down" to us after that loss at their ground - for some reason that always sticks in my head that season since we ended up winning the Grand Final and they went down.
(Yes, yes I know it was a joke, but to paraphrase the immortal words of Alan Partridge - Needless to say, we had the last laugh)

For some strange reason I own a dvd of the game and the Widnes commentator is incredibly biased.
When Pryce scores in the second half he practically blames the referee for getting the try.
Idiot.

| When the Bulls were playing at VP and there was an incident where one of our players got taken out and Jimmy Lowes came steaming in to speak to the Ref! Russell Smith turned round and said "go away Jimmy I want to speak to someone sensible" The gobsmacked look on Jimmy's face was priceless and gave those of us that heard it a good chuckle!
For me it was the the Bulls winning the CC at Murryfield because of the emotion by the Bulls fans that went round the Stadium afterwards!

What a day. I remember just before the amazing joy at full time was an almost overwhelming sence of relief, got to remember it was after the 96, 97 finals and the 99 GF.
I remember some Leeds fans and neutrals questioning us on the way home at a service station why we weren't all jumping around for joy more, we had just won the cup afterall, I had to tell em I was just knackered and so drained I didn't have the energy left!
Plus McAvoys "chip try" will live long in the memory too!

Mine too for different reasons. Wasn't it Harris that was 'chipped' as well?
FWIW Leeds played very well that day (in the end), especially given that we had one of our worst starts to the league that season under Lance.

It was Harris, he jumped about 3 inches off the floor in a rather lame attempt to reach the ball. You did seem to get better and better as the game went on IIRC (?) and I remember thinking if there was another 10 min at the end we'd have lost....but thankfully there wasn't

The nice gesture by the Paul brothers to let Bernard Dwyer be the one to lift the trophy but he didn't want to.
Still the biggest cheer that day in the stadium was when he came to lift it.
What a way to finish off your career.

The DVD of this game is only £5 in HMV if anyone is after it.
They also have the 2004 Grand Final but that's still £12.99 (full price ).

| I voted for the win at the Don Valley back in 1997. That was one of my first Bradford memories and is still one of my most treasured moments from watching Rugby League.
The drive home was sensational and the week building up to our Champions homecoming against Paris was something special.

| Murrayfield 2000 for sure. Lots of other memorable matches but this was the first big title win and led to others after so many "nearlies" that broke my heart.
It was'nt a great match and neither side were outstanding - Morley was awesome, he did'nt deserve to be on the loosing side, and McAvoys chip was a fluke, I still think he did it so as not take the tackle.
This thread does not ask for the best performance by the Bulls. So this was my most memorable experience- walking out of Murrayfield with incredible elation that we had eventually won our first modern day major title.

| The away game at Halifax was just so so good, all the fax fans chanting your not singing any more at half time, and then came the second half and our turn to sing your not singing any more.
the 2001 grand final first half was just such perfect rugby league, the following morning I played the tape through three times consecutively, but one sequence in particular: Scott Naylors first tackle on Renouf absolutely flattened him and indeed pretty much took him out of the rest of the game offensively as he spent more time worrying about where Scott was than looking where the ball was, knock on fumble etc. ex Salford destroys top 20 greatest Bronco. Brilliant.
The Withers drop goal. Leeds. One point. Heaven.
Plenty of other good moments in there though, but the world club trophy - hadnt they virtually just got off the plane, and it was blowing a gale down the pitch, so we should have destroyed them? So although I am proud enough to have that very cup featured in my blog picture with Meds head, it was good, but nothing like the challenge in the three I have chosen.

| Only been able to travel regularly to Odsal since 2007, so I picked the '09 Rhinos game as one of mine. Couldn't put any case whatsoever for a Bulls win, travelled more out of sense of duty than anything else. Even 10-6 up with 20 to go we were waiting for the Rhinos to put the back to back tries they were known (and hated!) for in their prime.
Their first 'Try' was ruled out for a ruling that had only been brought in that season, Brent Webb was 'Downtown'. As I had no idea that was the rule I joined everyone else in getting the shock of it getting wiped. Second one was even better. played in quick time it looked like there wasn't a problem. But replays showed it had hit Jones-Buchanans hand and gone forward. The tension was awesome as it got played back several times before it got disallowed.
My younger Brother James has Downs Syndrome and went absolutly ballistic at the final whistle. A few weeks later at the magic weekend a family we'd never met came over and their Mam said seeing him so esctatic had brought a smile to their faces since that night.
One high I doubt would make any list, but maybe should, is leading 30-6 in the playoffs v Wigan in '07. I remember sitting there making plans for Hull or Huddersfield the next week, even when Wigan scored the first try of the fightback their fans could barely bring themselves to applaud. At full time about 15 pairs of arms went around James as he burst into tears, we were devestated for days afterwards. What no-one could possibly have known is that night in September would the last time the Bulls could be considered serious contenders, and was in effect the end of the glory days at Odsal. For now....
