| First of all, credit to Huddersfield they were far superior and worthy winners. They played some good rugby today and gave us a lesson in how to play RL.
As for the Bulls I thought were completely out-muscled in the forwards and struggled to get any sort of good momentum. Far too often the Huddersfield defence had enough to time to get back onside and still have a sec or two to spare. Compare that with the Bulls who were nearly always still retreating when the Giants played the ball. They earned the right to a quick play by continually busting our attempts at tackles. Our pack is still on the small side and without Langley we are going to struggle against the sides with big packs. It was a problem last season and it remains one.
Some of the defending was awful by the Bulls, particularly down our left edge which was targeted by the Giants. Ah Van had a stinker, but I hope fans do not crucify over one very poor performance. I wasn't convinced he is strong enough defensively to play centre and my thoughts haven't changed. He needs to improve drastically if he wants to continue at centre.
Still giving away too many penalties and still making too many schoolboy errors like passing the ball forward from dummy half. We're our own worst enemies at the moment and putting ourselves under too much pressure.
Bright points? Not a great deal to take from this game other than some whole hearted efforts from some. I thought both Wingers did well again and Herbert showed a few glimpses of what he might offer if our pack can lay a decent platform.
We can't expect to be competing with a well drilled side like Huddersfield overnight though. The rebuilding process will take sometime but this side is still a lot better than they showed today.

| The match was over after 20 mins. Hudds came out all guns blazing and when you couple that with the amount of penalties we gave away in that period that was what killed us. I think we had the ball something like 3 times in that whole period and on one of those occasions, in his enthusiasm to get out of the tackle and play the ball quickly, Hargreaves knocked on and gave Hudds another opportunity to run at us.
I reckon our indiscipline cost us about 20 points today.
I really like what we do with the ball in attack when we have it but it was hard for them to be patient and play an organised and methodical game once they had gone that many points behind.
Hats off to Hudds. That was a great performance, some scintillating rugby. Totally blew us away.
I think we'll see a totally different performance next Sunday against Cas.
The gulf between Wigan, Warrington and Hudds and everyone else is pretty astonishing really.

| Don't think Bradford are a bad team, ran Leeds close and were robbed in mm, didn't turn up today in some parts to do with how good we were, we had the same when we didn't turn up at Cas again in some parts to do with how well they played.
I can see the Bulls turning Cas over next week tbh, I really can, you won't play like today again this season and Cas have not yet played away from home bar the mm stroll against Wakey.
Never gave up today and just a bad day at office and a good day at office for us

| Quote ="Bulls Boy 2011"In all fairness to the Giants last time they played us they won 52-6. But hey it was obvious last year that anyone (except Wakey) could beat the Bulls as we had Sheriffe, Reardon, Worrincy etc.
Except a 12/13 man Warrington team, who have the Giants played that are a test this year? We have had Leeds and Wigan.

I'd have said this in spite of the result, Brough & Brown are the best British 7 & 6 around. Until McGuire is back there is not much competition. My previous post was in response to the daft statement that you were equal in the halves.

| I knew we were in for a shocker when the kickoff ended in in a drop out then Kearney and Raynor fell over each other, if they talked and one pulled back the other would have made the tackle. The Giants found our weakness in a lazy Ah Van and attacked it all game.
All credit to Huddersfield though they played extremely well and even I had to applaud Hornes try because the pass was great. Our defence was pi$$ poor today. But in attack it proves we can score because Ainscoughs try came from a good move.
That yound O'Brien played well and was our best player for me.
Otherwise no=one else had the heart or desire to perform today.
Again well done Huddersfield, please kill Wigan next week.

Nah!!!! Ya talking tosh fella. Up there with Morley and Peacock when he is on his game and he has been top notch so far this season, struggling to get the offloads this season but that's more down to the fact that there are now 3-4 men wrapping him up every tackle, leaves gaps elsewhere and allows the backs the freedom we had today.
Lynch or Crabtree know who I would want in my team

| Not all doom and gloom for me, which is a surprise considering the poor performance. Performances aside did I expect to beat Leeds, Wigan or Hudds? No. Did I expect us to beat Crusaders and Wakefield? Yes. So so far there's been no suprises for me.
Hudds were very clinical today and although I thought our forwards stood up pretty well (especially considering the amount of extra defending they had to do) it was their backs who just ripped us apart. I feel sorry for our forwards, time and time again starting from near our own line, battling their way up field, delivering the ball to our backs in a decent position for them to just totally bomb it. A lot of work needs to be done and I really do wonder what they do in training as half of them look like they've never passed a rugby ball before.
I'm not even going to talk about Sykes! We also saw the good, the bad and the ugly from Herbert today, still early days for the lad though so I'm sure he will come good.
Proud of the support today, really proud of the fans who put the Hudds fans to shame, we made more noise clapping off our team who conceded 50 points than they did all game. It would have been easy for the fans to just buy their £60 season ticket and leave it at that, it was good to see them turning out in such big numbers.

Crabtree is nowhere near the same league as Morley, Lynch or Peacock. You have a very good pack but Crabtree is very overated.

Our pack was well beaten mate in my opinion, completely dominated I thought for all but the final 20 minutes or so. If they had busted through the tackle more often then there would have been more opportunities and space for the backs to break.

Up there with Morley and Peacock lol
Even with Lynch being 'supposedly' past it, he is still a better player than Eorl is or ever will be.

You'll have to wait longer than 28 weeks for the Bulls and Giants to have played the same opposition the same amount of times.
