| According to one of the new directors (I forget who unfortunately) we have the largest female fan base. Not sure how true that is these days, but I think in recent years there's probably some mileage to it.
When you look at the acts they're trying to book and their core markets I think that's pretty relevant. 80's pop? Adele tributes?
It's cross marketing, but within the same organisation.

She certainly would sell out Odsal, in a breath, but what position would she play?

| Is it just the one concert, the 80s one, was Joe Tamani winding us up when he gave us a big list of loads more bands for the same weekend
Anybody heard what ticket sales are like for the 80s concert, can't say I have heard or seen a massive publicity campaign for it

| Suspect there not going to go ahead with the Sunday now and concentrate on the Saturday sales. Then adjust future plans depending on lessons learned. Publicity does seem to have been a problem IMO. Apart from bulls website and twitter feeds can't say I've seen anything. That just targets bulls fans and we shouldn't be target audience, a lot will be at or watching magic weekend anyway. They should be targetting wider public. When monster trucks are on there's posters all over Bradford for it. Only poster I've seen for concert was this weekend in pub near ground. Too little too late IMO.

| Hi, I wasnt on the wind up. the list i put on here came from speaking with Omar directly. Contracts have been finalised then agents have come back to ask for other things resulting in Omar telling them where to go.
If they didnt sign Jessie J on Tues I dont think the Sunday will be happeing.
Inm regards to publicity. Its all over the websites such as Ticket master and on Radio adverts in yorkshire & Lancashire.

Dont think the recent weather will have put many in the mood for an open air concert Odsal.
The problem with 80s pop is that, with the exception of new romantics, it doesnt seem to have the nostalgia value of eg 60's or punk.
Dont think Charlie Watts would fancy playing at Odsal, too windy. But not many hippies

www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/ap ... -interview'" . Course, like all decades, it can't be really just be narrowed down to one format and there was lots of good stuff mixed in amongst the dross.
I can empathise with Charlie Watts though, it's bloody hard to play music in the freezing cold and wind. In fact the lads playing guitar in the cold on the last few Sundays deserve a medal as they probably left with fingers rubbed raw in the cold.
