However, he is not a good coach of an already successful team. He has dismantled us and put us back together all wrong. You can think what you like about getting to second and all that (we nicked it by 2 points, remember, in the dying seconds of our very last match of the season), but he's ruined us in the process. You may like the barge up the middle boring style of rugby without being able to defend for peanuts, but Saints fans don't. We'd rather miss the Grand Final completely next year and just enjoy a season of entertaining rugby. God knows we've been starved of it the last two years.

I have had info from 2 sources very well placed in the Pryce camp, but they are clearly conflicting:

1. Leon is def returning to the Bulls next season (with Karl heading to Crusaders).

2. Leon is is staying where he is and is actually looking at extending his contract at Saints to the end of 2013.

Knowing how close these contacts are to the Pryce inner circle obviously 1 of them is involved (maybe unwittingly) in some disinformation. Maybe they both are and he's of to the Whinos

In the Leaguer Ryan Duckett says there is no truth in Pryce coming back to the Bulls, as he as 1 year left at Saints. I don't think Connor Murphy would print such a story without knowing at least they were interested.

No he didn't though, Mike. He played the legals game. He stated the position as legally it stood, and in doing so made sure he did not give the other party - or his dog-dropping of an agent or any other club - any suggestion that the club was reconciled to losing him. He thereby ensured our bargaining position (should it come to that, of course...) was not compromised.

And, as he told me a few weeks ago, the club anyway does not carry out its negotiations through the media. And quite rightly so too.

It's a shame for some people. They are so deluded!

I have it on good authority that Leon is suffering from a variant of "Newlove Syndrome".

This affects the neck rather than the back and will only allow him to play for Bradford rather than St Helens, the exact opposite of the symptoms Paul Newlove suffered.
