Terrible news if true, it looked nasty when it happened so I was shocked to hear it was just a sprain.

The cast could be precautionary. Although if there was any diagnostic uncertainty an X-ray could easily have been done last night or this morning which would have confirmed/ruled out a fracture.

According to Potter on radio Leeds today 3 players were injured on saturday of those Chev Walker has a torn pec and is the most seriously injured L'estrange and Ah Van the other two. A brokebn ankle would trump a torn pec surely

He looked in real trouble screaming with pain last night thought it was bad at the time, relieved at the news of just a sprain but now fear the worst.

You would have thought so but I guess it depends when Heath had x-rays done, might have been after Potter was on the radio.

I walked on my ankle before I found out it was broken. But I also know someone who had a cast when his ankle was badly sprained, although it was for a couple of weeks and he was on crutches as well. Could be bad either way, broken or not!

I broke my ankle two years ago, an unstable fracture, and believe me you WOULD NOT WALK on an ankle broken in TWO places!

One break is painful enough, when they straighten your foot for the back slab plaster it is agony

Must say that I was amazed when they said there was no break or snapped ligament. When he went down, his reaction was like no "sprain" I've ever seen.

agree if broken defo wouldnt be walking on it as i broke my ankle in 3 places was in agony with it plus wasnt allowed to put any wieght through it for ages

Its says something along the lines of scans will reveal the full extent doesn't it? That to me could say it is broke and they haven't had chance to scan/x ray it yet due to swelling maybe? I hope it isn't as him and Diskin have created a belting partnership so far.

Online story said sprain earlier, but your right it's now been changed to ankle problem. Maybe ominous or just a case of Connor covering his bases.

One of these days, we'll actually get the chance to field a full strength side and have a fair crack of the whip. By the time Heath gets back fit it will almost be a full 12 months since Orford got his injury, it might even stretch further back than that, I can't actually remember the last time we fielded a full strength side.

I know, we haven't had any look with injuries! Chev is out for four weeks and Ah Van was also an injury doubt! Hopefully Herbert will be back next week and then Briggs, Donaldson and Halley not long after!
