having seen the improvement on sunday dont think making the 8 is even an issue. It would take both hulls making a major improvement, which given there signings so far I cant see, to keep us out as we'd beat both of them comfortably on sundays performance (which wasnt even the full strength team). Your entitled to your opinion, and I'm not going to do a ewen and get into a my dads bigger than your dad argument about it with you, but imo there wont be more than 2 league places seperating leeds and bradford this year with us somewhere between 5 and 7 and your lot between 4 and 6. Wont predict who will come higher as that will depend on ourside factors such as injuries both to us and other teams.

| Quote ="AaronBull"Just watched the latter one, against Fax in the semi final.
Featherstone must have scored about 9 tries, and apart from the two Briggs scored he wasn't really involved. Good awareness and pretty quick off the mark (quicker than what we had last year) for his second try, and the first was a nice little darting effort.
Would have liked to have seen him on the ball more..'"
Watch the 44-4 game against 'fax. Involved a lot more.

| Glad we've got a few genuine goal kickers in the squad now.
Ah Van looked good, Briggs is quality, then we have Addy, Southernwood & Herbert too.
A lot better than last season in that department.

| Watching some of the youtube highlights. I'm looking forward to seeing Briggs playing for us next season, very similar to Royston in that he's clearly a bit too good for the championship

| Congratulations to Bradford on not only looking to potential British talent rather than an Aussie pension seeker, but for dealing in a fair manner with a smaller club.
It keeps the money in the British game and can only make RL stronger. Fev have got a cash boost and Bradford have the added bonus that they might get a few curious Fev fans to games.
It’s nice to see something refreshing like this (and how Leeds also dealt with fev) at a time when RL appears to have degenerated into a backstabbing, contract breaking morass.

You would not have been invited back that time I assume? Criticising Bradford is not encouraged by some on here. I am surprised you did not get chased away with a big stick. Or "bored" off the board.

If, as a fan of another club, I come on the Bradford board to criticise or make fun, then I expect some flak back. As long as it does not get personal then I'm not fussed. For every opinion there is always an opposite and I'm quite prepared to voice mine even if others don't agree.

Im very happy with this signing, but I wouldn't expect too much too soon. If I were Potter I'd put Briggs in the reserves for a while until his conditioning has stepped up to superleague level and he gets used to our systems. I also look forward to seeing what he can do but I think we need to ease him in, not throw him in the deep end.

| He's got time to get SL fitness before we kick off in Cardiff. He won't have been sat on his backside doing nothing since last season.

U20's/reserves, same thing with different eligibility rules, you know what i mean. Last week he was part time and working and expecting to play championship level, he needs to get up to speed, I'm not suggesting keeping him in the reserves for half the season but he's not the biggest physically and if we start him at 6 in Cardiff against Leeds I suspect Leeds will target him and we'll expect too much from him and I see no point in throwing him in the deep end like that and risk havign his confidence smacked out of him striaght away. So a few games in the U20's whilst he learns our systems and gets used to full time is no problem IMHO.

| No Bull (pardon the pun) Kyle will do well in SL and most Fev fans, whilst disappointed to lose him realise that to attract top quality young players to our club we have to release them if a SL club comes in for them, especially if we can get a decent fee.
2 players, Kyle and Zac have moved onwards and upwards so where do you think young players will look to develop the skills at a decent level? This can only benefit my club even though in the short term we have lost one of our best players.
I am sure by the end of the season you will look back and say that he was worth the money regardless of the fee.

I couldn't agree more it helps Fev financially as well as younger ones realising that Fev is good for building your skilss etc.
