Why we would leak the name of a player we are not going to get and make it clear that the other viable option (pryce) is no longer wanted i do not know. There is a clear need for a quality HB and centre and these need to be addressed ASAP as other clubs are in the same position. Crazy leaking the targets to then not get them, utter stupidity

agree with that. Only caveat I'd put on it is that maybe we've already signed someone else and are just leaking names to keep interest up until we do make an announcement. IMO we need at least 2 decent recruits on top of any players we retain from this years squad to keep season ticket sales at a similar level to this year. We've got the key expensive players from this years squad signed up now so we know how much cap space is available to spend on retaining some of cheaper OOC players and new recruits.

I agree mat, but the addition of quality has to take place. the last release about seymour and pryce cover 2 quality players, and if we dont end up getting someone of similar quality, i will consider this a big error.

My concern is the centre postion as there havent been many links, and i cant think of too many available. another punt in any of these positions wont be good enough of an upgrade from where we are as a squad

I think the Hull board's equivalent of you is claiming they have signed him, with his source being Shaun Berrigan (who I think is currently at the NZW with Seymour).

When was it posted? I'm sceptical because I highly doubt Connor is in the game of announcing names without a lot of credible information behind it.

Pretty damning if it is true that he'll be at Hull, but for the minute, I'm a bit doubtful due to the recent article from Connor.

posted this morning, like already said from a guy who usually gets it right (although I think he was original source for ainscough to hull rumour last year and he obviously got that wrong.) Like you say I wouldnt have thought connor would run the story unless a deal was pretty much over the line so I'm a bit surprised too.

He told us Heremaia was signing about two weeks before it was announced due to info from Berrigan who he is mates with. He told us about Seymour today?

Like most players do he will be shopping around for the best contract for himself, so both clubs porbably did show interest (thats not saying another few clubs didnt either) but just waiting to see which route he decides to take...........

All that being said i remember going back to when we signed Tame Tupou, he had a "drink" problem before he came and had wisened up, but he still turned to the drink which was one of the main reasons we shipped him back out to Oz

Personally think - he may be a good player but is it really worth taking the risk AGAIN

Only thing i can see happening is Luke Burgess unless on the off chance the rumour of Asotasi coming is true - which would be awesome but i wont be holding my breath on this one ha ha
