Bring it on!!

Seriously though, it is good to see the latent level of support and good will for the club to improve, even at such a low ebb. We all have issues with what been going on and thoughts on where we're going but seeing so many people wanting to do something positive no matter how small a gesture it is the grand scheme of things, is refreshing after this season.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding our Player Sponsorship. I have listed below details of the package. At the moment I am in the process of contacting existing player sponsors to request their renewals for next year as we always aim to give them first choice.

-Company details / logo included in the Gameday Magazine alongside your chosen sponsored player
-Website acknowledgment on the Bradford Bulls Squad page with click through link to your companies website
-Announcement when your sponsored player scores any points
-Player used for one appearance / promotion (Subject to availability of player, along with at least one months notice)
-Pre-season evening to meet your player and present with his 2010 playing shirt (DTBC). Strictly limited to two tickets, additional tickets can be purchased when further details of the shirt presentation evening are announced
-1 x Seasonal Corporate Car Park Pass

At the moment I don’t have a full list of available players until I know who is renewing or not as the case maybe.

Now, as discussed the benefit package doesn't really work for us, so I asked about a game in hospitality for a game.

The reply:

[iWe could cater for 45 Mark, but you would be spread around 5 tables. Depending on which game you are thinking of (not Leeds) we could maybe use the middle section of our All Bar 9 area, obviously I don’t know if you know the layout of the Coral Stand but this is on the ground floor. There isn’t a bar in there as such, but we would make sure you can buy drinks from one of the other bars. We do also have the Murrayfield and Millennium Suites available (upstairs) but there’s only 33 seats actually outside the suite.

It’s not an unusual situation as such, you’d be surprised how many questions/requests we get asked throughout a season. But, as always we do aim to fulfill guests requirements as best as we possibly can.

Have a think about the above options and once I can confirm what players we have available I can work our a package that we can work together on.

Sounds hopeful really. I think what is a good idea is, if we do go ahead with it, in the program, we can advertise RAB and get a few more people on here, and also on the Bulls website.

If we were to do that at a particular game, we'd have to make sure everyone was available. Maybe one where its not likely to be as busy? Celtic, Quins or Catalans ?

33 is plenty, in the nature of things there's no chance at all of everyone actually turning up. Also I'd much prefer standing with a bar than sitting without a bar.

A helpful response from the club. I agree with Ewwen's suggestion of picking a game like Celtic, Quins or Cats for any do.

Regarding the "use of a player for 1 promotion evening" part. If we get that as part of the package, perhaps use that for some sort of Q & A session on this board? Said player wouldn't even need to leave the comfort of his home then as long as he's on the interweb (assuming of course someone, naming no names, from the club didn't pretend to be him and answer the questions!)

Sounds good. Or if he's not comfortable doing that we could do an interview with questions prepared beforehand. I don't mind writing it up and sticking it on here.

My cunning plan is coming to fruition. All you suckers with season tickets will not effectively be getting in for free. Whereas tigs will, at this rate, pay less than £14 & get in the Coral. Can we play Cas?

Not that isn't a good idea but an alternative, more boring suggestion is that if any one of our number has a business who could use them, they could do that in return for chucking a suitable sum in the kitty for next year. Might be over-complicating things there though.

As a school teacher, I would like them, especially if it was one of the Bradford born players. (In fact Elliot Whitehead went to the school) I'm not sure how much I could squeeze out of the school's budget though....

You could all look at it as a good deed.

Personally I would be happy for Wigan Bull to get any of the none sharable sponsorship benefits as he is going to all the hassle of organising this.

You beat me to it. I was just thinking exactly the same a couple of hours back and was gonna post it when I got back. I'm sure the parking spot for example will be very handy for someone travelling quite a way each time.

Without speaking for anyone else, using the appearance (if we got one) of the player at a local school would seem a great idea.... Certainly I can think of no reason why I'd need the player to turn up at my Network Rail office,

Aye me too. I suggested the Q & A purely because it's a way for everyone on here to benefit, but I've no problem at all with the appearance going to a good cause of some sort, and a school visit would qualify!

A Q&A is a good idea though, and since we're a fans group potentially doing the sponsorship [imaybe [/ithe player might do one of those too as an extra?? Would be worth an ask surely? As it might not put him out too much if he only needs to be logged onto Stuart Duffys PC for an hour answering pre prepared questions??

As an aside, would a player Q&A web-interview on this forum or through the Bulls own site even be something to put to the club anyway, maybe separately from the sponsorship thing?? Deacon or Menzies or one of the senior players might be interested in doing it as a new feature for the club and some different fan interaction? Just a thought.

The school visit seems best to me (assuming that it isn't somewhere like St. Helens

) as we get the added bonus of also promoting the Bulls to a wider audience.
