Well, I suppose that whilst most realised it was never going to be an easy ride there are bound to be some who will jump ship, as it were.

There's little can be done about it though, and the hours will have to be put in and the work done by the club to improve and hopefully things will pull round - be it this year or, more likely, in a few years time. We'll just have to pick up the ones who went missing sometime in the future, when times are better.

Confirmed on Sky that we will be announcing Dale Ferguson signing on a 2 year deal tomorrow. I wonder if the club are happy that Sky have leaked that info?

Happy with Ferguson. Pretty young, British, strong ball runner, but most importantly a very strong defender that plays on our notoriously weak right hand side. I just hope it doesn't spell the end for Donaldson.

Why would it? Donaldson is a LF by trade.

I like the lad, but I wouldn't be against letting him go, providing we replace him with a better player.

His tackling is a strong point, but I just can't ever see him breaking a tackle, or running a decent line.

Look at Ferguson at Huddersfield. His ability to run a line and bust a tackle is in another class to Donaldson. I also think that many of the home grown players we produce are just a little on the small side. Luckily Bateman is a bit of a freak who punches way above his weight.

Saying that, given the current squad size, I don't think we are in a position where we can start letting players go, the squad is just too small.

That's one thing that Big Joe Timani seems to have got wrong....

Don't think we can let anyone just go, unless they have said they are leaving for another team or have a good reason to go, think putts maybe the exception tho think we could just let him leave.

We do need some bodies thought, could have neen totally different this year if it wherent for that horrid run of injuries we sustained and that crap fixture list but hindsight Is a wonderful think.

Ferguson is a good signing-- dependable in both attack and defence. As regards Donaldson, he's young and is improving match by match. His "line" for the try on Sunday ( and in the previous match) was spot on. I disagree with the posters who imply or say that FC does not rate him--I think it's more the case that the coach has been gradually bringing him on and helping him to rediscover his confidence which must have been dented by those awful injuries.

Your quick to stick the knife in. In another thread you were defending him like his so called inside rumors were gospel !
