So from weeks and weeks of " it can never work" to well actually there are 2 clubs already working that way ?
Do you ever actually read what you type ?

| I suspect the ticket prices may change depending on how many league games we actually end up playing next season. It pretty much sums up the state of RL at the moment when we still don't know such a thing.
Obviously if we end up playing less games then the price will adjust accordingly.
I'd be interested to see a comparison in season ticket prices between ourselves and the other League 1 clubs. Someone on twitter suggested that Keighley's season tickets were only £14 cheaper than ours but I don't know how true that is.

This. Until we know number of games its hard to say whether season tickets are overpriced or not. Should be remembered that a lot of costs club has will stay same with a saving on first team playing budget being offset by increased costs for enlarged academy. All other costs will be broadly same irrespective of dropping down a league.
One interesting thing they stated was that our central funding next year will be £150k. This is the funding we would have got this year as lowest funding level in championship but we're dropping down a level so surely our central funding should be £75k which is central funding all championship 1 clubs get?. Is the level of championshiop 1 funding increasing next year? (or an expanded 14 team championship with us on lowest funding level ).
Hope they are correct and they aren't just assuming we'll get same next year as we would have done this year pre-liquidation.

| Quote ="HamsterChops"OK, I've only just got around to reading about this forum properly. I am frankly amazed that so many people are thinking it was largely positive. Sure a couple of good things to come out of it (academy set ups for example), but also some bad (season ticket prices being frozen is ridiculous), but largely it's more of the usual suggestion that things are happening that they haven't backed up yet. In some cases (franchise) they won't have to back it up for years yet.
It seems like another of those forums where everyone falls in love with the person doing the speech and thinks he comes across really well, only to later realise they've bought a timeshare in the bermuda triangle using their entire life savings. Perhaps that's because I wasn't there to stare into his gorgeous eyes while he told me he wanted my wallet.'"
I don't get the anger in season ticket prices being frozen. They're only £15 more expensive than Keighleys? Also regarding the franchise comment, we are in L1 and the rebuilding process will take years?
As Bullseye said they're the happy clappers and "the fans forum was A breath of fresh air" twaddle.
My take on it there was some positive stuff in it. There were specifics like shirts will be available in November. An online shop. Hes told us the foundations that will be in place that we can build from, like reserves, academy etc and the specific plans he has for them. He mentioned the plans we have for a squad and how we are going to go about recruitment. Isnt that what people wanted?
I am in no way saying we have a great future under Chalmers. Ive no idea. As Bullseye said it could get to January and there is a cock-up with the shirts, no online shop, and we have a cr@p squad. But as the forum goes and the PLANS Chalmers mentioned they sound positive IF they are put into action. Thats the key.

I think the central funding is paid out based on where you finished at the end of the [iprevious[/i season. So we get the funding for finishing 14th in championship, whoever ends up finishing in 4th in championship (for example) will have their central funding based on a 4th placed finish in 2017.

| Agree with you there BullMania. For me personally everything that happens from now until Christmas is key. If he can deliver on the likes of Kit, Coach, Signings and even something small like being able to make card payments then it will be positive for me.
Also let's not forget next year will be our first 'proper' year for this new club. The first time we will have facilities for the start, a proper pre-season, business structure etc since the liquidation. And hopefully (finger's crossed) no more 'punishment' or 'criteria' from the RFL.

If I can correct your post: Up until the launch of Super Dooper league ALL teams could have been classed as 'hybrid' (Wigan being a notable exception).
It worked because everyone was the same and I'm actually not certain that even Wigan didn't still have the odd part-timer. You're also missing the point that ALL our competition will be part time, so, at worst, it just nullifies some of our advantage. Though, if you'd sat through the vast majority of our games this season you'd be wondering just what the advantage was.

Sorry I were poking fun at what your owners have you believing. You think Fev and Fax's "full time" players are actually off training during the day? Their "full time" players are doing work in the community with their wages been made up by government grants. I would be amazed if Bradford do any different or if it worked if they did, they seem to be just glossing over the what looks like the step down to part time.

| Don't think he mentioned specific cist of ST other than they were being kept at current rates... to me this could mean £10 per game (which is what they were this year based on 15 home games).
If we have 14 home games they could be £140. I reckon that's why they are holding off until September to launch them.

Doesn't work like that for clubs getting relegated/promoted. On that logic we would have got 1.65 million funding our first season in championship as 12th placed team in previous years SL. Also it was mentioned at start of year that it was worth an extra 75k central funding to Whitehaven if they took our place in this years championship as they would have received our 150k funding and we would have received their 75k funding in championship 1 ( although RFL would probably have taken the 75k off us too even in championship 1).

Well, since you're asking me personally......
I want a brand new house
On an episode of Cribs
And a bathroom I can play baseball in
And a king size tub big enough
For ten plus me
I'll need a credit card that's got no limit
And a big black jet with a bedroom in it
Gonna join the mile high club at thirty-seven thousand feet
I want a new tour bus full of old guitars
My own star on Hollywood Boulevard
Somewhere between Cher and James Dean is fine for me
I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame
I'd even cut my hair and change my name
'Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat
And we'll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger's gonna wind up there
Every Playboy Bunny with her bleached blond hair, and well
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
I wanna be great like Elvis without the tassels
Hire eight body guards that love to beat up assholes
Sign a couple autographs so I can eat my meals for free
I'm gonna dress my ass with the latest fashion
Get a front door key to the Playboy mansion
Gonna date a fold that loves to blow my money for me
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar

| Quote ="Block5Bull"So at this stage, what do you actually want? What's your manifesto, given the current situation and not just referencing how things have been done badly before, for reviving the Bradford Bulls?
*Disclaimer, I'm one of their 3,000 as I've been going too long to stop now and I enjoy going and supporting my team regardless. I accept that leaves me open to criticism. But to me the AC pitch tonight sounds like pretty much what a business plan to fix and rebuild things would look like for anyone other than a billionaire.
Obviously it' got to be delivered against, but again, what does good look like to you at this stage?'"
Now my serious response;
1. I dont have a manifesto - I'm a fan not a phuqqin politician
2. I've supported Bradford Bulls since the early Steaming Pig days and I've been through thick and thin with them and I never doubted my loyalty until last Xmas when I chose to spend more time checking on my clubs plight than I spent talking to my family - and the penny dropped - my mood is linked to the performance of my beloved Bulls - the worse they do - the more of a I become - and thats just not fair on those around me - so I've decided to cut the red amber & black umbilical cord. If anyone wants to criticise me for not buying a season ticket, then so be it; sorry but my family come first now. I'll always be a Bradford fan till I die; and I'll have my lucky Northern scarf draped over my coffin - but life is too short, and family is more important than sport.
Based on our life experiences we all have different views / tipping points / thresholds - if you're feeling positive about AC's speech - good for you - but I'm not you - it's my choice whether I think AC is the saviour or just another scheming businessman who wants my hard earned cash
3.What did I want from AC?? A surprise package that would guarantee us back in SL by 2019! You did ask. - Ok I set my sights unrealistically too high - but how many of us on here were really hoping for a surprise announcement at that forum, a billionaire owner, or reinstatement of points deduction, or a few hundred thousand found down the back of the Bulls sofa, a handful of superstar players signed by Mr Lowe, etc etc
Are you any happier now?

I seem to recall F@cks Reserves playing Saints Reserves and beating them, yes by one point but more importantly, beating them the F@cks way. Bit like a Stoke in your face and your gonads V Arsenal pass the ball into the goal please game.

| Whereas BoolocksChopss, the majority of posters on this forum are optimistic because of the realism in what was said, no promises of SL in 10 seconds for example. And yet you accuse fans who think this is sensible, and are prepared to wait the time to see what happens, of living in a fantasy. Clearly you have never had any level of planning responsibility in an organisation. You are almost certainly a toilet cleaner, because for you one thing is certain, the toilet will be there, and it will need cleaning. No planning needed, and no need to justify why there's no floater when one was predicted.
Stick your toilet brush where it will hurt your poisonous pustules the most. In your faux-brain.
I apologise to any good honest toilet cleaners on this forum for comparing Floaterchops to you, and your honest endeavours.

| We are just fans. We have no say in anything, other than whether we turn up and support or not. As for the owners, they'll do what they do and we'll have no say in it anyway, so let them get on with it - at the end of the day there is still no other potential owner tearing the door down to take over.

Did they actually say £150k at the forum? That is a monumental mistake if they're using incorrect figures in their budgets like that.

| I don't understand the issue with the £150 thousand? Would that not be the "prize" money for finishing last? That would differ from the funding for being in league 1 wouldn't it?
Having done some brief research there does seem to be a sliding scale of prize money. Although like all things RFL, it's quite hard to find any actual hard facts written down.

If Chalmers has done all his budgets on the assumption that we're getting £150k when in reality we're only getting £75k, I'd say that's a pretty big issue!
