Sometimes I despair at the posters on here.

I support Bradford because I was born here, brought up here, and have had a season ticket longer than I care to remember.

I have bought my ticket for next season already.

I do not care who the chairman is, I also do not care who the coach is.

I would rather see 17 players playing every week giving 100% with points to prove, who may not be classed by us lot as 'World Class', than us to splash the cash on 3 expensive Aussies here for a pay day who aint interested in putting effort in. We have had that since 2004.

For too long the team has lacked the hunger for success, but I now see the bones of that starting to emerge. we hit rock bottom missing the play offs last year, we have since replaced some big earners and often underachievers, with players who are hungry and have a point to prove.

Back your team.

There are enough fans of other clubs out there who are bound to have a go at us as a club, but surely we should be leading the defense not the onslaught!

Didn't you tell us Moore was coming to us?

I'm sure Nobby has more pulling power and cash at his disposal than Macca/Hood, so why wouldn't he.

Sorry i couldn't resist. We all love the club, that's why we turn up, but we also want to see it flourish, we want to see it appeal to new people and grow and become more successful, not celebrate decline and revel in marginality. There's a recession happening, the longest we've had for some time and it's a spectator sport, and people can and will go elsewhere, which is and will impact the club terribly. It's because we care that we can be bothered to criticise, most people are just failing to turn up. It's not Bradford or nothing, it's can it be run, managed and financed better, can it compete, innovate, capture some of the spirit we've enjoyed in the past, can it provide role models for kids, can it entertain, does it have ambition? Just telling us all to like it or lump it is not a strategy for improving things.

If the club is moving in the right direction I'm sure most fans would think the same. Unfortunately that's open to debate and that's what messageboards are all about.

I hope you're right about us hitting rock bottom but I think we've a season to go yet. We've replaced some underachievers with others who are the same I reckon. We can only pray they do finally play to their potential.



I'm sure all of us on here will continue to do that. The amount of posts just shows how much people do care. I'd be more worried if nobody gave a monkeys. Look at the response for the player sponsorship and supporters trust. Many of the posters on here are prepared to give up their time and money for the club.



You can't expect fans to defend every decision the club make, they're bound to split opinion at times. The recruitment this off season hasn't been the greatest and so you'd be naive to expect fans to accept it and be shouting from the rooftops about the signinings of Reardon and Sculthorpe.

Wayhey!!! Just been reading up on him and he's only ever scored one try throughout his career at senior level. So Ancient Provocatuer will be happy that'll make him a shoe in for the nude run.

See my post on the other thread. There were no stars, but I would have taken Snitch, Fozzard or Haggerty over him, and would have felt we'd done no worse with Matt James, Feather or Jackson.

King Thackray and Moore would have been better aswell imo.

Moore was not OOC. Personally, I would prefer Sculthorpe as a player to King and - although he's probably a better player than DS - I wouldn't want Thackeray anywhere near Odsal.

I think, given that list, I would have opted to keep James if that was possible.

I think the retention of James would have pleased most out of the options presented

I know for a fact now that even if you could afford to table a bid for Brough no club could afford there is no way he would play in the same team as that "waste of skin".
So that's another to cross off the list.

More world class signings from our wonderful "Coach" Who the hell did we beat off for his signature? Dudley Hill? Richard Moore would have been money better spent! Oh and how the hell is he "Plugging the gap left by Sam"????? Well size wise maybe? But then again I could have filled that gap!

I think this and the other below answer why this is such a bad signing. I would have preferred the do nothing option and promoted from within.

I had picked up indications (from outside the club) we were looking at props at this level. This isn't a signing that immediately excites me, must admit, and indeed I find it a bit puzzling. Could say we have been here before with Chris Feather? Sculthorpe does have talent with the ball, without doubt...but will we see enough of it? I hope we do.

Happy with the Reardon signing. Have to reserve judgment on this one. What I will NOT do is get on a player's back until I've seen him out in a Bulls shirt a few times and seen whether he deserves either the shirt or the shîte. Maybe one or two others could do worse than do likewise?
