It depend on how intensive the contact is in training. I'm guessing the physical contact during a game is harder and until they are in that situation you can't really judge if they can cope, so i can understand not being able to pick up on that during training but when week after week he's been targeted and most weeks is staggering about after one or more tackles I'd hope they'd be able to pick up on that.

| Both squads [url=http://www.skysports.com/rugbyleague/match_preview/0,19936,11070_3086340,00.htmlhere[/url
How set in stone are these selections ?
I listened to the Bulls podcast last night and Steve Mac seemed pretty certain Semi wouldn't play, so unless he's made a fast recovery why waste a place in the squad ?

| [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/super_league/bradford/8061755.stmMcNamara wants support against Salford[/url
[i"Bradford Bulls coach Steve McNamara tells BBC Radio Leeds the fans need to get behind his side as they travel to Salford on Friday. "[/i
following the craven happy happy joy joy article yesterday, now Im being told to turn up and get behind the lads.
I have done, I will do, I am Friday... but the team needs to show up too Mr McNamara.
He should have followed my suggestion on the club offical reading thread and offered free away travel to the game on Friday to try and bump up the away support and give something back to thoughs of us that do follow the team week in week out no matter the ineptitude or brilliance on display.
As an aside, is there anyone who might normally have gone on Friday but has been put off by our home performances of late? Or are there any fans that might not have normally gone but are going to go as this is when the team need more backing rather than less? Or does it not matter and actually attendance or lack of it (at away games in particular) is more down to money getting tighter and/or other factors?

I'm not sure how many people would own up to that, because they'd then probably get dogs abuse from others on here.
I'm out in Manchester tomorrow night and plan to go to the game, at the moment I wouldn't make the trip especially though, the product doesn't warrant it - I don't think the team need more backing rather than less either, they are good enough to beat Saints and Leeds, but are seemingly happy to toss it off most of the time, for that I'd say they deserve contempt rather than more support because it is inexcusable.

That might help. It's all well and good asking fans to travel to see them, but its not free is it?
Perversely, is anyone else more inclined to go after Sunday's debacle then they were before? It's like the trip to Saints. I felt kind of drawn to go.

It's not.
But with reduced budgets and the economic climate, I think it's pretty deluded for anyone to even suggest the club paying for the fans to go.
I'll be there with bells on.

Not so much the club pay, more they do a reciprical marketing arrangement with a coach company. Say two or three coaches (there would be no more take up than that IMO) for one trip in exchange for free advertising space at Odsal on match days or in the programme (Im sure we don't use all and every available space at Odsal. We're only talking hundreds of pounds not thousands and you'd get a bit of free positive PR and some good feeling amounst the fans which [imight[/i put a few hundred on the next home gate which [imight[/i pay back some of the minimal outlay anyway.
I know for a fact we did similar reciprical marketing deals with companies during Peter Deakins time, it was one of the ways he stretched his budget to go further than straight cash deals would have done.
You are right to point out though that in this economic climate we'd probably struggle to pull off even this small deal though.

Possibly true though I'd like to give people more credit than that. I only asked as although I'm going, my dad, who I normally go to away games with is not going this week. Its not just the performances of late, (he's followed the club through worse times than this) but he has other things to do and now he's retired cash is tighter and this week he's chosen not to rearrange his weekend and make the effort, those were his words - Im not making the effort.
Point Im making is its not as simple as "just turn up and support us no matter what we do pretty please."
Quote ="debaser"Perversely, is anyone else more inclined to go after Sunday's debacle then they were before? It's like the trip to Saints. I felt kind of drawn to go. '"
Me too, I think its times like these that the club does need support more than in the good times - so Im there, but I perfectly understand anyone choosing to abstain for a while. Hopefully the club can win them back sooner rather than later, but its not a given.

Don't know TBH mate.
He just said a place in the academy team depends on whether or not SM makes it.
