| Quote ="Bull Mania"Think Leeds have 5 players in the England squad for the France test series. They seem to have a decent crop. Did Luke Littlewood play? He's a scrum half and has looked impressive from what I've seen of the 16s.'"
Not sure about Littlewood and I've binned the team sheet now.
Race & Diskin were the Bulls halves but didn't pay a lot of attention to the Leeds names, except Holroyd who was their gigantic prop, who is one of the names in the England squad. Their loose forward too is in there, although I forget his name now. Did notice he looked good though.

| I said on previous page that Race stood out in the Leeds game. I went to the Cas game too and again, he stood out, especially in that second half domination.
There's clearly a few lads that won't make it in the team, as you'd expect at that level. But there's at least 3 or 4 in that side that look good too. Race the stand off, and there's a couple of forwards that seem to be head and shoulders above the rest too.
Apparently the club are due to decide soon who they're going to keep on and move into the 19s. From someone who's only seen a couple of games, I think there's a few quite obvious candidates for the Yay and for the Nay.
Unfortunately I couldn't tell you names from the Cas game as there were no team sheets available.

Lets hope John Bastian can work his magic again
Oh and we have some off-field stability.
Breaking my heart seeing Joe Brown, Cameron Scott, Jake Trueman ripping it up for other teams. Oh what could have been.
Still it was worth losing that talent to see Richie Mathers in a Bulls shirt along with 20 other players who had a massive impact.

| There has been great support for the Bulls Academy Spring Ball, Only a dozen seats are left.
Still time to join us and support the young talented players. We are sure you'll enjoy a great night. The Coaching staff and ex-players are joining us.
Outstanding Achievement Awards will be presented on the night.
Barclays have very kindly offered to "match fund" so far up to £3000, and possibly up to £4000.

| £8000 raised from the ball according to John Bastian. Great stuff!
From reading the reports, sounds like we've got a player in Reiss Butterworth

| Just had a chat with John Bastian to write some articles for BullBuilder. He really does have the knack of making you look on the bright side. For all the strife the first team are in we do have some really top prospects coming through, four of which will receive awards in the next week or so.
John's busily trying to get players signed up and planning pre season which will happen this time and should give us a good start in 2018.
If the first team rugby is too depressing remember we still have the 16s and 19s. We play London this Saturday at Dudley Hill KO 2pm admission £2.

My son plays under 16's, and I have watched that age group across the leagues since under 9's. Littlewood was the best half back out there. Leeds went for Scrimshaw, who is not very good just in a good junior team, and the Stanningley lad, and IMO made a mistake. I am sure Littlewood could be a future star.

Last night the latest crop of young players signed for the Bradford Bulls at the annual year 11 professional signings evening at Odsal. The annual BullBuilder young player of the year awards sponsored by GTL Car Spares were also presented. The awards cover not only U16 and U19 players of the year but also an Academic Achievement Award.
BullBuilder chairman Paul Butterworth said: “It’s great to celebrate the achievements of the young players coming through the system and give them something to recognise their efforts. The club has produced some excellent young players and that will continue thanks to our thriving youth set up. BullBuilder will continue to provide its backing and has raised more money than ever this year thanks to members and supporters.”
The winner of the 2017 BullBuilder Academic Achievement Award goes to Lochlan McGill, award presented by Andrew Chalmers. Lochlan is a hooker from Stanningley who is in his 1st year of the scholarship. Head of Youth John Bastian said: “Lochlan has worked so hard to improve his academic standards this year and the staff are delighted with his progress with his BTEC. He’s shown a real resilience in completing his work and should be really proud of his achievement this year.”
The winner of the BullBuilder U16 Player of the Year is Anesu Mudoti , award presented by Jon Hamer and Karl Fairbank. Anesu is a prop from Hunslet Warriors. John Bastian said “Anesu has made significant improvements over the past 2 years. He’s got a wonderful attitude and is always working hard to improve himself which made him stand out in the group. He enjoys work and wants to do well in the game. He’s also done well at his school Temple Moor and is staying on in the 6th form there so will be a part time professional with the Bulls.”
The winner of the BullBuilder U19 Player of the Year is Evan Hodgson, award presented by Jon Hamer and Karl Fairbank . Evan is already familiar to supporters of the first team since he’s already made his debut. A prop or second row from Stanningley John Bastian said “Evan has a good work ethic and rugby brain and still has a lot of improvement in him if he keeps putting in the effort. He just wants to play and will be sure to figure more in the first team as he progresses. He too has completed his BTEC this year and is a deserving winner of the U19 player of the year award.
Thank you for your support, without you none of this would be possible.

Even more good news Bullseye

Rowan Milnes scored a beauty of a try against Wakefield last year. Just glided passed defenders making it lool effortless. Can't teach that. One to watch out for IMO

Yeah great news that we've got them signed up long term. These lads have really come on. Physically they're starting to fill out too now. Might see one or two get a shot at first team this season too. Think they'll obviously be figuring mainly for the 19s given they're still 2nd years and many won't turn 18 until the new year.
Fixtures announced here:

The BullBuilder accounts for 2016/17 have now been audited and sent to BullBuilder members for approval at the AGM on 18th January. We think that many Bulls fans might be interested so here are a few headlines regarding our activities in the year to 31st August 2017.
INCOME - Totalled 22,110
The main sources of income were-
Subscriptions from members- 2763
Donations - 2951
Grants received. - 6000
Events - Quiz Night. 1424
- Spring Ball. 3825
- Batley Walk 4415
GRANTS TO THE ACADEMY - Totalled 16555
The main grants included
Academy Development Plan
Coaching Support. – www.bullbuilder.co.uk/news/u16s- ... -strength/
New Gym Track.
4G Pitch hire.
Trophies. – www.bullbuilder.co.uk/news/young ... ar-awards/
Analytic System and Laptops. – www.bullbuilder.co.uk/news/bullb ... t-support/
Tractor. – www.bullbuilder.co.uk/news/bullb ... x-tractor/
Our administration expenses were minimal - £192 and we had a healthy balance of over £12,000 at the end of the financial year.
In the 17 weeks since the 1st September we have contributed a further £9086 in grants to the youth structure at the club. The main grants have been:
Tackle Shields - https://twitter.com/BullsTrust/status/9 ... 9749528576
Coaching Support. - www.bullbuilder.co.uk/news/lifes ... llbuilder/
New Medical Flooring- https://twitter.com/BullsTrust/status/9 ... 2177855491
New Weights. – (YET TO BE PUBLISHED)
During that 17 weeks, in addition to our regular member subscription and donations ,we have supplemented income by holding a very successful Race Night, an impromptu (and profitable !) silent auction at the club's Anniversary Dinner and an e bay auction of Bulls shirts kindly donated by John Bastian and his team.
Everything we've done in the past few years has been made possible by the generosity of our members and the incredible participation of both members and non members in our various fund raising activities. Despite all the turmoil of the recent past we still have a thriving Academy.
Our AGM will be held at Tong on the 18th.starting at 7pm. The formal business should be cleared quickly and will be followed by a "tour" of the training facilities conducted by John Bastian and his team. He'll be highlighting some of the equipment provided by BullBuilder.
It's not too late to join BullBuilder and sample the delights(?) of our AGM and witness the value that Bulls fans have added to the club's youth structure.

| Sounds like an excellent win. Quite a few of those lads have stuck by the club through the upheaval this time last year and were on the end of some spankings last year in their first year of 19s in 2017. All the hard work will begin to pay off now if they keep it up.

| Impressive win. I don't think its a case of our team full of third years and their team full of first years either. Most of our third years were either lost last year during liquidation or are now part of our first team (Hodgson, Butterworth etc)
Exciting times ahead.

Foster, Leadbeater, Wilson, McGill, Storton and Stephenson were I think. Could be wrong. Mick reckoned debutant Cobi Green went very well.

Right. I remembered seeing a few of them playing in the 19s last year and we did struggle at times against bigger lads. Seems like a few might be coming good now.
