Apparently it was announced down at The Shay today that the capacity for the CC match will be around 9,000. I really hope as many Bulls supporters as possible will attend. It may not be such a big match to you these days and you are almost certain to win but it is our biggest match in years and could really capture the imagination as far as the Halifax public are concerned and it could also boost our public image as far as the second round of the SL application goes.

I mean, ok, we know that most of your tickets will be free but, after selling as many as we can to Fax fans, we would have absolutely nothing to gain from limiting the number made available to you. We would really like it to be a sellout.

depends what you mean by access. Once we've used our 2700 allocation I cant see fax giving us anymore to give out for free. We'll have access by buying them direct from fax I'm sure.

As I am a season ticket holder, I am entitled to a free ticket. That's the deal.

If there aren't enough to go round, then some sort of a FCFS or draw procedure will have to be devised, but what they can't do is charge me for a ticket.

I tried to ask about this before. The tickets can't be entirely free? They are free to us as season ticket holders but surely someone is paying Fax for the ticket allocation to Bradford, be it Bradford or the RFL.

I can't see the clubs signing up to giving away tickets to their opponents season ticket holders, also the way its being described at the moment its only a cost to the home team. It just seems unlikely.

As far as i know in the 3rd and 4th round the rfl subsidied each club cos of free entry to season ticket holders.

From what i got told at the shay today the capacity of the ground on the day will be just over 9000 and you are gonna be given tickets for the entrie skircot stand which can hold about 2200 and then part of the east stand and Halifax fans are gonna have the south stand (behind the posts) and the rest of the east stand any tickets we dont sell in the east stand i dont see no reason not to give them to you to fill the ground up.

Even if the RFL wanted to - it is no business of theirs. Any request would have to come from Fax and they want to showcase their ground and give themselves every advantage to turn us over.

and rightly so, I'm very much looking forward to this being at Halifax. Leave it as it is. As talked about previously, it's doubtful that all season ticket holders will want to go anyway.

I predict that every Bulls season card holder who actually wants a free ticket, will get one.

Exactly. A classic cup tie, small ground packed to the rafters, lower division home side fancying their chances against their grubby big city neighbours. Alternatively a half full Odsal with Fax having little chance.

It's no different this year. Yes, we have more season ticket holders now, but Fax is also a bigger ground than Dewsbury's, so it just about evens out.

I also confidently predict that if the scheme is still running next year and we draw a Co-Op team away in the 4th round, we'll have exactly the same thread with exactly the same panic.

It's also on TV this year, which I'd guess is a bigger incentive to give it a miss than the freebie ticket is an incentive to go.

Exactly what I've been saying all along. Plus I confidently predict the usual post match trolls about how "poor" the take-up was etc. Such is life.

In fact it will be a very good crowd for a match of this type, and hopefully a good occasion, enjoyed by all. It's also worth observing that none of the trolls and whingers wil actually attend the game - they never do, although all will swear blind they did
