Would it be safe to say that this could be the bulls most important game in quite some time. As a win could set us up for a real shot @ promotion & also a loss here could ruin it. Cmon boys do the job.

Biggest for years IMO. If we win and Leigh lose we have four points advantage on the the other two likely to be in there scrapping for the places. Salford next up at home which is a possible win for us if we are on top of our game. So yes a massive game today, it will set the tone for the rest of this mini campaign for us.

If Jimmy has faith in Siejka then play him from the start. Personally I think Gaskell & Addy is a decent pairing, however I would rather see Addy at 13 than being moved around during the game to accommodate Siejka.

Regardless of who plays I am excited & nervous! This is what the 8s were supposed to be about!

It seems to have injected some meaning to the final weeks of the season for another 8 clubs...... although I don't think another year in the Championship is that terrible...maybe that is where we are at.

We are now seeing the vagaries of the Middle 8s, where the stability of 8 clubs is in doubt at the time they needed to negotiate or re negotiate contracts: Coupled with the fact that after the regular season ends, rehabilitation of injured players is not feasible in terms of match fitness, if they are over 19, ie no reserve grade to give them a match fitness trial, which has meant clubs buying in players before the deadline, many on contracts only until the end of the Middle 8s, this may cause salary cap violations> Wouldn't it be a fantastic advert for the game if a championship team is promoted, and then have points docked for cap violations, ensuring they didn't have a chance of staying up the next year?

How can there be salary cap violations with a live cap?. RFL wouldn't register players signed for middle eights if it put teams over salary cap.

Just out of interest, what would be the penalty for cap violations? Docked points has always been part of it. Which competition would you dock the points from? You'd have to assume regular season competition rather than the 8s simply because it means different things to have points docked in the 8s depending on where you are in the structure. I think you could also reasonably assume that a newly promoted club would also be a middle 8 team the following year at least. At which point, how much of a penalty is it really to have points docked if all it does is put you in a competition you were' going to be in anyway?

What a disappointing side to go into such an important game with. No Mullaney, no Nielsen, Blythe at centre and Siejka on the bench?!

Seems bizarre to drop Henry then not play Nielsen. Wonder if he was a late withdrawal. Henry's been comfortably better than Blythe this year.

Indeed it seems seijka non existent as per usual! Addy can get away being a half against championship sides and that's it. Crossley looks unfit and stopping at point of contact going to get hurt! There was a reason a coach who has coached him at a previous club let him go. We could come back and win this but the issues will still be there. After the season so far would have never thought the only one playing with any heart would be lauaki
