Why wouldn't we? They are all decent players - and there aren't others out there, not currently signed up, who are any better than they are

Comments on twitter from some of our currently OOC players are really starting to worry me. Ainscough, Addy and Donaldson have all made comments that seem to suggest their futures in the game are still up in the air.
Hopefully this is just while their agents iron things out for them, but it has been almost two weeks now since negotiations supposedly began, and all we've managed to do is tie down Chev Walker for another 12 months.

Why what are they saying?

Agreed, I would try to keep them all as well but as Nothus notes Addy and Donaldson's twitter comments leave me wondering if they've even been offered anything.

There have been a few posts on out TIW Forum that claim Ainscough has signed for us. Nothing official, but then there have been no official statements about any signings yet!

I have to say that the lack of announcements on re-signings (or even new signings) is a little worrying.

I think it absolutely stinks that OOC players have no idea if they've a place in a team they got to the play offs (before points deduction). Thought the rules were that anyone who took over the club had to be able to sustain it so the club didn't find themselves in the same situation again too soon. That being the case it can't be lack of money for players - even though it probably is a tight budget. Leaving them in the dark is an absolute disgrace. Leaving the fans in the dark is an absolute disgrace also.

Is the club waiting as long as they can to pick them up cheap - maybe sacrificing one or two who may have signed elsewhere? If that's the case why sign Walker - he's not exactly the one you'd pick first.

Given that the new owners have only known their SL status for about 2/3 weeks, who knows what is going on behind the scenes to secure players for 2013. The owners will probably need to secure sponsorship and have an idea of season ticket sales before they go fully into the market for new players.

I wouldn't expect the club to comment on any contract signings until they were done. Business like this should be done behind doors.

Lets give the new owners/manager some time at the helm before we start brandishing them a disgrace?

Good player that proved his class in the 21 games played this season and over 150 points he scored for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He's been given some responsibility in the middle that he's thrived on. I hope he goes on to continue to prove his doubters wrong you lost a good 'un!.

If he'd have played for us as he seems to have done for you then I would have agreed. Unfortunately the Bulls and Sykes were just incompatible. Glad it's working out for him though.

I'm not talking about new signings - I'm talking about players who have slogged their guts out and were asked to keep the faith for Bulls who are now not being told anything about if they're needed next year which is quite clearly the case if you look at various OOC players who have twitter accounts.

Not only was he not given a chance, he knew the coach had no confidence in him, which is not the right mind set to have when you are eventually called upon to play. thereagain he was given a chance, by a coach wanted him because he fitted into his teams plans, told him so and let him get on with the job.

It must be seriously difficult for 2nd string players who could not play for the under 20's, how do you get real match fitness when you cant even play u20's?

Hopefully an ex problem now with what seems to be a solution in the twinning with Dewsbury, should also help players returning from injury get up to speed
