There is nothing more sad to me when a group of people try to "Out Know" each other for no other reason than.. what? I know more than you?

The number of threads on this board where fellow Bulls fans argue endlessly about the current issues, each laying claim to a variety of angles seems a waste of energy and causes great divides - when we are all supposed to be wanting the same thing?

Bearing in mind how little information is available and has been since the pledge closed - we appear to have pages and pages of guesswork?

My own summary then;

Its a right mess.
The fans are divided over the arrival of Chris Caisley.
The fans are divided over the arrival of Brian Noble (pending information of his role).
We may go into administration - but we might not.
We may lose some of our best players very soon.
The players and the fans have been fantastic since all this started.
It stops there.
And its still a right mess.
We all await the next (multiple) moves and some bits of information - but with no idea what they are actually going to be.
And after all that - it still could be a right mess!

I could in turn challenge and counter every point in yours. But I see little to be gained from arguing with someone who seems unreceptive to any alternative argument, and chooses anyway to be disingenuous in quoting me (e.g. the plan I was referring to was of course the one to get them out of the hole they were in; you said "blind prejudice", I neither said nor alleged that) when it suits. You and I have a different stance on this issue, and if either of us was going to change ours stance based on what the other argued, we would have done so long before now. It ain't gonna happen (in my case, at least unless more actual pertinent facts come to light), and I'm far too busy right now to want to attempt it.

It is my opinion that Caisley's intervention served to fatally undermine whatever plans the then-board had. I suggest any argument that he did not realise the effect his intervention was likely to have does not itself bear scrutiny. Nenertheless I have no idea what the motives behind the nature and timing of his intervention were, although the timing was at best extremely extremely unfortunate in my opinion. I see others have separately expressed the same opinion, on this forum and elsewhere, so they must feel the argument DOES in fact bear scrutiny.

You choose to hold a different opinion, and that is your right. But I'd kindly ask for a bit more honesty when attributing opinions or statements to me.

You're an influential poster who has presented a sequence of events in support of your 'opinion' that Hood and Co had a plan/investment and that CC timed his intervention to scupper those plans. This suggest that he has first and foremost acted spitefully and not in the best interests of the club, or even, in his own best financial interests.

Surely if Hood had a plan in place to save the club before Caisley stepped in, then he could publish said plan.

ie we had x and y lined up to invest x and y amounts of cash, we where going to cut costs here and there. But then when Caisley stepped in x and y lost confidence that their investments would be safe or wanted to see the counter arguement.

Whilst I agree Caisley may see administration as the best option, it may actually have been the only option.

If there were said investors why did they not invest during the weeks the fans were pooring money into the club??? Surely if the £1m was all that was required when the investors saw the fans hitting £400k that would be the time to move.

I have no self interest in this, from day 1 it seamed a little strange to be asking the fans for 500k without any plan for the other 500k. If there was a plan then why did they not let the fans know, it would have helped move the fund raising along, they may even have got more investors on board than they needed, if the money was going to be in place.

Wonder how long it'll be before we hear anything concrete about the future? The wages are due on 14 June apparently so I would expect something before then unless anyone knows different.

They'll be no announcement till Saturday at the earliest I'm guessing. Probably Monday to complement the victory over Leeds.
