Our next coach needs to be from the NRL IMO.

The name given to me was Stuart Flanagan. Which puzzled me very much since Google told me he was a player. A bit more googling later turned up Shane Flanagan, which I assumed...or at least hoped...was who was meant. So I put that away in a compartment until something to clarify turned up!

Many thanks to all of those who have put my name forward for the job. It kinda shows that I am maybe a bit more important on here than some people try to claim.

It was mentioned earlier that it will be hard to get a top replacement on gates of 7-8K a week. Who then is the most responsible for the dwindling crowds? The very man that is needing replaced.

Any side wanting a British coach would have McNamara at the top of their list.

Any side wanting an Australian coach would not want McNamara, as he is not Australian.

Our coach is a liar then. Bradford is obviously not his be all and end all and he's obviously not as happy here as he stated. I hope the players will still play for him after he's shown no loyalty.

Harsh Ewwen. If you might be out of a job in October (every chance) at a place you love working at, might you not be very tempted to take another job you've always wanted if offered it? One that offerers the security of an income for your family for probably 3 years???

Players and coaches aren't (on the whole) die hard supporters of the clubs they serve. They are employed as professionals to do a job to the best of their ability, as we are by our employers. (And they don't get to peruse a message board all day!

Personally, while the job is such a poisoned chalice, I can't see how ANY coach worth his salt could refuse THE top coaching job in the northern hemisphere, if offered?

1. If you are an RL coach, then coaching your country is (obviously) your ultimate ambition

2. He is not breaking his contract

3. He is out of contract at the end of the year and had no offer on the table from Bradford.

I'm scratching my head to work out how anyone has any issue with this no-brainer? Especially the 'loyalty' issue raised - if that was a genuine 2 way street then wouldn't he have already been signed up for another few years on a big money deal?

I think the players have more brain cells than you are assuming they do!

They get battered and bruised every week and suffer numerous bangs to the head...............but even they wouldn't be as daft to have the same opinion as yours. (IMO)
