| Has anyone seen the video of the stadium on Look North/Calendar?
Retractable roof, two giant screens, it looks like a smaller version of Suncorp

Well, going by the club's press release (very good swipe at the reports that said the £15m was going direct to the Bulls, btw) as well as what was put forward at the fans forum, it does seem the club were expecting this outcome. Hopefully, the club are going to continue their pro-active stance and are able to deliver us a new stadium

A new stadium with Park Avenue is the only way I feel to make it viable with it then having all year use.
Myabe both clubs could sell a joint Bulls/Park Ave season ticket?

| Plan B is to continue dreaming about plan A. A scheme that was never going to happen in a million years. The reality must be we have no plan B therefore like most things in this city, nothing will happen.

| Peter Hood:-
"=#4040BFContrary to some media reports, it was never the case that this £15m was going directly to Bradford Bulls to develop a stadium. The money was destined for a trust company being set up by the Council through which it, not the Bulls, would run the health, leisure and sports facilities for the benefit of people across the district. Bradford Bulls' contribution to the project was to be the land that we currently hold under a very long lease and leasing back the stadium."
The truth, as opposed to the version attributed to Greenwood:-
=#BF0000“My view has always been the vast majority of the money should be private sector money into a private sports company – it’s a private business at the end of the day.”

Well that's great. So Mr Greenwood doesn't know where council money actually going? On that basis he's clearly a member of Bradford Council.

If it's not going into councillors pockets they're not interested. At least we didn't let the t055ers knock down what we have before pulling the plug

That would be the dream move as far as i'm concerned Mick. As a season ticket holder at both clubs i would love to see them sharing a new modern stadium. It seems to work quite well at the Shay.

| How about instead of £15m to re-devolop send in the Air Force and bomb the place to make it look attractive.
Is £10m of that put aside to sort the lobsided pitch out?

Don't think you'll find much disagreement with that.
Does not help that us dumb voters keep insisting on voting into City Hall whichever party is not in power at Westminster. So central government has no incentive to help the city - and every incentive to screw it and therefore the party in control - and local government is too busy trying to score points against central government with Joe Council Tax payer stuck in the crossfire.

I don't think you will find many to argue with you.
It's not just Bulls fans though is it, it is everyone who lives here. Bradford Council are slowly letting the whole city get demolished bit by bit. Maybe when there is nothing left, they will be happy.
We should be inspired by the scenes in Egypt, etc. Get down to City Hall and overthrow the useless t**ts.

Well, Cameron is always going on about the Big Society. I think Bradford as a city should do it. City funds are clearly not being used on things that people in the city want, so I say we all stop paying our council tax to the council and put it into a mutual fund for the people of Bradford and then WE decide what projects are worth the money.

Would that be every citizen of the city voting on every decision or should we elect representatives to make the decisions on our behalf?

| How many people slating the current load of bandits at City Hall either voted them in, or did not bother to vote?
The ballot box is how democracy works. The Egyptians overthrew an effective dictatorship, not a freely-elected administration.
If you did not vote, you can hardly complain at what the City Hall banditry are up to - and if you do complain, we will have to shoot you. If you DID vote, and for anyone in the current ruling coalition at City Hall, then its all your fault and you need to go do the decent thing and shoot yourself. If you voted for the previous lot, why didn't you shoot yourself ages ago?
Yours
The provisional interim junta-in-waiting

| I stood against the leader of the council in Little Horton 2 or 3 times. He got many thousands more than my couple of hundred. This democracy thing is not all it's made out to be. I vote for a benign dictatorship, such as the governemnt were praising Bahrain for having when they bought our arms of repression.
