How did Thomas go at full back?

If he was the guy you had at fullback then I would say I thought he was an outstanding performer for you. Good positional play for kicks and linked into the line well, good footwork as well.

Thanks. He came on in the second half against Keighley and had a bit of a mare. Glad to hear he played well as I would have put Jonny Campbell in instead. Guess we can put last week down to him being a bit rusty with it being his first run out.

Thomas was excellent I thought. Seemed to have good positional sense and made progress progress and was dangerous almost every time he had the ball. Was probably second to Lilley in his performance. It will be important to extend Lilley's loan beyond the initial month.

Lilley's kicking game had to be one of the best I've seen from a Bradford player in probably a decade. Nearly every kick was inch perfect.

Thomas was good today. Got all his goals I think too. Hope he can keep it up.

Lilley obviously the stand out. A little concerned we'll come to revolve around him in these opening weeks and then he has to disappear in a puff of smoke. I think I'd rather we struggle on without than have that.

Very spirited performance too, midway through the second half I thought you were finally running out of steam but the intercept try gave you a second wind. It was never easy and with more signings to come and time for the coach to make a mark you can only improve.

Oscar Thomas? Been surprised by the criticism on here I first saw him against us for London a couple of years back and thought he was a good player then. He was excellent today at full back .

Reeling in those 12 points and getting out of the bottom 2 is going to be tough, I don't think you'll do it by round 23 but after the split and with the better teams out of the way I think on the evidence of today (and with the certain improvement to come) you can do it.

Just to reiterate what others have said and say thanks for turning up in such numbers and for the impeccable respect shown by you guys during the tributes to Colin Hutton.

I think both teams will go away with plenty to work on but also take plenty of positives from the game. If Toovey can sort out the defensive line you have pace and points in you.

For you guys Lilley, Peltier were the stand outs for me (although Peltier wasn't so strong in the second half) and other than the shoddy kick off your Full back had a pretty good game.

Thought the result was a bonus really. I doubt that KR will concede more than 24 points very often this season, neither home nor away.
Never nice to concede over 50, but many expected quite few more, prematch, so even that was (almost ) a positive.

If we defend like we did in the first half we will... certainly a lot to work on for us in that area, think you scored on your first 2 attacks.

Overall I thought it was a good game, you put up a decent fight of it, certainly in the first 30 mins. Lilley was great throughout and if you can keep him then it would bode well for you but I think that'll be a tough ask. Pryce started off vocal and organising but disappeared a bit later on and Thomas looked dangerous.

The no try in the corner was a try, just watched it back an he grounded it before his foot found touch.

My concern over Pryce is that he’s going to be needed as a leader and to be putting in some 80min performances and in his whole career he’s tended to drift in and out of games. He’s never played in a struggling side either but now he’ll need to be able to inspire the young lads without going ballistic and then taking his bat home when things go against us.

If you can retain Lilley for the season then you'll soon wipe out the points deduction, but I would be very concerned with the way Pryce was lambasting players rather than leading them. If he had fully committed to the performance it would have been much closer IMO.

On my team, it was a 6/10 performance with highs and lows and without being disrespectful it was a comfortable win. But fair play to the Bulls for the full 80 mins resistance and hopefully you didn't suffer too heavily on the injury front.

The big difference between KR and us is that they appear have a good, solid and balanced squad whilst our, not counting Leon, is basically made up from, fairly or very, inexperienced youngsters.

KR will undoubtedly improve rapidly over the first few games imo, but youngsters take a while to mature, and what's more it's totally unfair on the kids to overplay them. As things are we are going to struggle. A couple of more experienced forwards and it gives us some hope - let's hope we can get someone in as soon as.

The big difference between us and Hull KR was that when the Hull KR forward stood under the posts it went dark as they blocked the sun.

ATEOTD a scratch team of mostly youngsters and loan signings, many of whom don't even know each other's names, and no coach, from a 2 week-old club in early disarray trying to put a side together, away at a SL club scoring 24 and a creditably narrow margin, I would have taken that every time.

One thing to remember is that as well as only coming together as a team they've had almost no preseason. A 35 year old will miss the pre season more than a more youthful teammate IMO so Leon could well be missing that sharpness more than others.

Not directed at you Bullseye but I've always detected an eagerness to get on Leon's back at the earliest opportunity by some Bulls fans (mainly whilst at Odsal) and I wouldnt want to see that again when the team is trying to build
