| Sensible decision. Absolutely no point in risking him. I presume we have Walker for a minimum of two weeks? Although the whole loan system is a farce TBF.
Do wonder what Walkers thinking though. Signed to be back up for Coote. Coote retires and Walker gets loaned back to us. I know the French lad had a great game in the cup, but still surprising.

| If Walker stays with us for a few games. Where does Gaskell fit in on Holmes return?

| Personally I hope we don't risk Holmes. He is too good to lose to a long term injury and we need him fit for end of season run in.
Walker at Full Back and if Jowitt is fit, I'd pick him ahead of Gaskell. I know that's not going to happen but I really do rate the young lad and think he needs a run in the team to see how he goes.

| Not expecting a win, think Toulouse will be out for revenge and are in good form.. Just hope we have a crack and give them a game.

| We seem to lose players to injury in games more than usual? Being down to 2 subs in that heat is tough.

| One I expected to lose anyway. So long as the injuries aren’t too bad. We bounce back and get a food win against Keighley.

| TJust heard score; bit late I know. Defeat not unexpected but conditions would have played a big part so dismissal and injuries did not help. Wrong game to bring in new players as Toulouse hammering everybody. Can't accept the long-term value of Walker. Team has got together recently. Gaskell maybe, Walker no. Forwards priority.

| Disappointing but not unexpected. Toulouse are on fire at the moment.
Important we respond against Keighley and go on another decent run.

| Yes, I was hoping to see us give them a game but realistically didn't see much hope of any points from this one, I suspect we also put a lot of energy into the Fax game.
The result will soon be forgotten if we can give Keighley a good hiding at a Odsal.

With Keighley (H), Widnes (A), Whitehaven (A) and Barrow (H) up next. I think 4 wins should be the aim. Just like Dunning needed to win them 5 games but failed at game 1. Win these 4 (all below us) and we pull away massively from Widnes in 7th and all but secure playoffs.

| If everyone is of the mind that we were expected to lose then does that mean we’re expected not to get out of this devision as it will likely be them we face in the play offs at some point?

I don't think promotion is a particularly realistic aim with squad as it stands but things can change quickly, injuries and poor form will also be a factor.

I don't think it's relevant. What happens when we go to an in form, full strength Toulouse side in 30 degree heat in June, doesn't have any effect if we have to play them in October in the play-offs. That same Toulouse side lost to Swinton a few weeks ago.
Remember Toronto smashing everyone by 50 points and everyone just waiting for their promotion party. Until London beat them at Toronto. Last season, everyone just waiting for the Fev/Leigh final. Until Batley turned up.
Fev and Toulouse are the favourites. It will would still have been that case even if we had have won. We just have to concentrate on ourselves, finish as high in the play-offs as possible, and have a decent crack in them.

| Toulouse away in June in very hot weather is a different kettle of fish to Toulouse in September/October. Pressure of a playoff game they are expected to win. Anything can happen in a one of game. Like others have said, injuries play apart as well.

| If you look at Toulouse's home results so far this season (v Newcastle 58-0; v York 36-0; v Whitehaven 72-10; v London 52-0; v Halifax 28-22; v Sheffield 48-10; v Bradford 52-14) then you could argue that only Halifax have scored more points and came closer to beating them than we did.
Next week, we go again!

| Makes these next 4 games even more crucial for me. Wrap up top 6 in the next 4 games. Then make a real charge in the games against Sheff, York, Batley.

| Just watched the highlights. And tbh I’m annoyed at the way we concede the first 26 points. All poor efforts in D or really bad reads. Toulouse probably only earned the first try through good ball movement.
Walker and DFJ not getting under the ball is either bad communication or the sun.
Rest are breaking through two man tackles or Blackmore/Arundel making a bad eead on the play.
I don’t mind letting this one slide as it was a result I had down as a loss. But standards need to be better than that.
