I thought it would be either a couple of months or the season. So quite happy really

I have that on my wishlist too, but it is way down. Near the top is "Somewhere near an even break just for once, just for a spell"

| He is a young, fit lad who may get back to fitness quicker than expected once he is running again. The problem with these injuries is between the ears for those first few games back.
Good call on a loan from Leeds if they would go with that.

| It's very unlikely that Leeds will be letting Sutcliffe go out on loan, especially with Sinfield limping off last night and potentially out for a few weeks.

One HKR fan said it was one of the best performances he's ever seen from a youngster. I've seen him several times &, though he has obvious talent, he seems to get squeezed out of plays by the stars around him or just passes down the line. I would like to see him given a go though, but given his size he surely will end up in the back row or centres.

| Starting for Salford today. how about Bartheu at Catalans. With Pryce, Dureau and Bosc ahead of him can't see him getting a game.
What we must not do is panic buy in talentless wage stealers like Mcgoldrick. Kearney at 6 works fine. Certainly better option than Ryan Mcgoldrick. Kear can go in at full back. Blythe to come back in few weeks plus Sam Wood we have plenty of cover in the back line.

| I think we'll just play Addy there. Hopefully Ferguson is back soon so we will have Fergy, Olbison and Bridge available for the second row. Blythe will be back eventually which will add further cover to the back row.
Alternatively, Kearney could play there as suggested by others. This would actually solve FC's current headache over who to play on the wing, but would leave us light if any one of Foster, George or Kear picked up a knock.
We still need another prop more than anything else. Having only 4 recognised props - one of which is only on a short loan - is just asking for trouble.

| To be honest they both pose different problems for defenders and that keeps them on their toes. There's no reason why they can't both slip in and out of the role as the game progresses - it's not as though they haven't done it before..

| Don't rate Seymour at all, stand off is not Addy's preferred position but I would still rather play him there than Seymour.

| At least we are in the position that we have players who can move around, addy and Kearney. It's not ideal but better than having a huge void to fill with a loan stop gap, would let Henry have a go at 6 it was mentioned he could play SO maybe for abit during the London game if it is going our way.

| I just think Addys too static for half back. We originally signed Kearney as a stand off, we seem almost frightened to put him back there some strange reason. Kear has also really impressed at FB. It makes sense.
Playing Addy doesn work for me, plus we leave our back row slightly short.

Loan him from who? I thought he hadn't actually signed a deal with Cas yet?

Agreed, it's not like Gaskell is out for the whole season, and as Addy has filled in at SO and done a job before, I don't currently see the need to bring in another player in that position purely on the back of Gaskell's injury. We've got Kearney who can slot into the halves if we lose either Gale or Addy before Gaskell returns with Kear and Foster able to deputise for him at FB plus I believe Henry played a little in the halves before joining us?
That being said, I'd not be against us signing the right player at the right price to provide a bit more depth and force other players to up their game and keep their place

I disagree that he's 'poor' there.
FB is Kearney's best position imo, but he goes ok in the halves and does a fair job there. Now we have a few decent alternatives at the back it seems sensible to use him where it benefits the team most - and with Sammut gone and Gaskell out for the medium term that may well be at stand off. We still have Danny Addy who can break up the game with his input there too and it's a matter of using the available talent where it's most needed, imo.

| Kearney has looked a bit shaky at full back this season (perhaps not altogether surprising given his lack of pre-season) so I don't think we would 'lose' anything by playing someone else there for a few games
Given that our next game is London, I'd certainly look to go with Kear at full back. He didn't do a lot to get dropped this week, and yet I don't think Luke George deserves the chop either.
So Kearney into the halves, with Kear at full back definitely works for me. And there's still Addy on the bench to come on and cover either the halves or the back row.

Agree with that, will Franny think the same way?.....

| I don't think Kearney needs dropping. He needs game time to get hos sharpness and fitness up to match level.
