| Thinking of going to Fighting Cock and Punjab after the Catalans game but very interested in watching the David Haye fight that night. Anyone know a pub around there likely to have the fight on?
Also are there 2 Punjabs on Great Horton Road? Both look to be very good from the praise

| Not been to either of the Punjabs on Gt Horton Rd, the Punjab near the Fighting Cock is on Legrams Lane. A good curry house on Gt Horton Rd is the Bharat. Just up the road from the Uni. Go straight on at the traffic lights and it's on the right just past the petrol station.
As for a pub showing the boxing I dunno, but the FC has Sky.

| Tried Shalamar on manchester road tonight for the first time in a good few years. It was probably the best curry I have had in a long time, I had the lamb asian style balti and i recommend it highly!

| Was recommended and given a menu for Kerala Cafe on Keighley Road near Branch in Shipley. Very different and interesting South Indian food.

| Going to the Punjab on Legrams Ln on Sunday, and after reading some of the comments on this thread I can't wait.
On a side note, has anyone been to the International (I believe that's what it's called) near the Alhambra? Been told it's very good.

| Has anyone tried or know of anyone who has been to Thaal in Brighouse? Had mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, don't want to get my pants pulled down when I have a very nice takeaway on my doorstep.

| My daughter and boyfriend went and said it was "different", he had a curry described as medium on the menu but it blew his head off. A lot of the specials were flambed at the table his with sambuca. Both said the that the atmosphere was poor with hardly any one in and that they would put up with extra drive time to go to Saffron, Ahkbars, 3 singhs .......

Ok ta, might give it a miss then.. I will only moan if I pay a premium for a plate of overpriced curry. You still getting on with Medina Eddie?

| We still go occasionally but when we first found out about it we over did it a bit and so got a bit bored with it. My youngest said that they all tasted the same but i think it was down to the dishes we ordered, maybe its time to give it another go and be a bit more adventurous. The bargees and somosas were always top drawer.

| Been to Nawaabs in Bradford and Leeds city centres in the last two weeks. The Bradford version was not near the quality of yesteryear and the whole place felt a bit run down and tatty, when before it had a plush feel about it. Personally, I'd be surprised to see it remain open much longer. The food was only ok, and I am a big fan of the place too. Buna on puri starter followed by a lamb haandi. Also to note that my companion for the meal had the trotts the following day or so after the meat thali that was much smaller than I previously remember.
The Leeds version was a little better, much busier obviously, and a slight improvement on the food front. Same starter followed by lamb nihari. Unsurprisingly, the Leeds dishes appeared dearer than the Bradford version, but might be wrong on that one.

| Went to the Nawaab a couple of months ago and it was Ok, no real complaints, but its a long way from where it was 7/8 years ago as one of the top asian restaurants in Bradford.
I suppose any restaurant is only as good as its chef at the time. Maybe that's why small familly owned ones are better prepared to give long term cooking quality.
Cardamon in Bingley was a visit worth making twice. Reasonable prices, really tasty food. The Lamb Balti and the Hashnagi
Flavour were top notch. It's a restaurant that's at the top of its game
Not so sure about their idea of the fusion food we tasted. In the dish "Soriosha Sea Bass" it is covered with a Rogan Josh
sauce whch overpowers it.
The dish "Bingley Locks" has rhubarb in the mix with eastern spices. Try it and make your own mind up.
Otherwise spiffing restaurant in all respects

| I'm still waiting for MyPaprika to open in Clayton Heights. Should have opened by now. Hopefully will be worth the wait to have a good curry house in walking distance.

Bradford Nawaab was sold 18 months ago. They are allowed to sell the same dishes for 2 years then they must change the menus. The wife and I went a couple of months ago and they didn't have any sparkling wine or champagne (They advertised 4 different ones on wine list). Gone badly downhill.
We went to the Tong one and told them how crap their Bradford restaurant was, thats when they told us about the sale.
Tong or Hudds are still very good tho.

| 4 of us went to 3 Singhs last night. Food was excellent and no one left a morsel save for a roti we couldn't manage. I troffed the shamee kebab starter which was very nice but I prefer the softer pate-like ones they do at the Punjab. However the Jalfrezi Lamb was out of this world. Portion of pilau, a roti and a couple of pints of 1664 to help it down and I left feeling like I'd eaten a pillow. Looked like it too! Definitely going back soon.

| I headed to Zouk on Leeds Road last week - loved the chargrilled vegetable tikka, ooh yes. I'm vegetarian, but presumably the chargrilled meat is a good one for the meat eating folk.
