It's no big deal, they only need to write to the Post Office who will change for a Bradford one! It's not rocket science.......

| Couple of questions chaps- is there a total being updated, with regard to the pledges/season tickets actually bought and paid for?
And- I rarely get on the Bulls website at the moment due- I think to a weak wireless signal. When on it several weeks ago, there was a link to another forum, but when last attempting to find it, I couldn’t- any ideas.
Cheers;

| No updated total as far as I know.
Apparently 600+ have signed up and pledged since the end of the deadline so that total should be over 11k.

wasn't it a case of 600+ pledging between the noon deadline and the total being announced and then club stopped taking pledges the next day and just sold tickets?

| Any update on the sales?
I think the last update had us at over the 5,000 mark so we are still some way off those 14,000/15,000 crowds.

01422 numbers were very popular around Shelf in the mid 80's, a lot changed to 01274 in the mid 90's, a good number moved back to 01422 & tried for 01484 in the mid 00's, there has been a lot of interest in 01274 recently due to the cheaper peak rate.

That number used to baffle me, because it actually doesn't exist. 0113 does but not a prefix of 01132.

And so, to bore you even more: Indeed, because they unsimpled it when they got rid of the old 0532 code, did they not?
Leicester (for example) went from 0535 to 01535, and logically you would have seen Leeds become 01532. But because they were running out of numbers, they went instead to 0113, and added the last "2" to the front of everyone's numbers. So at that point, you could argue (if for some strange reason you felt strongly enough about it) that the Leeds code was effectively 01132.
Then of course they started with the 01133 series...and that blew it.
But some old dyed-in-the-wool buggers like me still remember back to when they had an 0532 number, and by extension still think of Leeds as 01132...
So there you go: unsimples!

Dunno mate. My sister lives in Shelf, not far from Cooper Lane now, but she did live nearer the centre of the village at one time and has always had a Bradford phone code. Back in the day when we had water rates she paid those to Bradford council too. It's a strange world!!

I think that's spot on Adey. I think people originally used the 01132 because, as you said, all Leeds numbers began with a two anyway and when they changed the numbers they gave the actual local number seven digits which was more difficult to remember. Much easier to stick the '2' onto the code and remember six digits.

It is HX3 and is part of Calderdale, yes. Not sure if that means part of Halifax as such. Keighley has BD postcodes 20,21 and 22 but Guess Who (et al) would be after your blood if you said it was part of Bradford!!
