| Why not drop the Bulls to Champ1 with no points deduction and put the Toronto team into the Championship, just need the fixtures regigging
So sorry that Bulls are no more, really enjoyed Leigh playing them these last few years and remember their last game against us in the 60's before they folded and reformed to go on and achieve greatness. The lesson to learn is the grass is not always greenerm

Aye, that would be a piece of p*ss for Toronto to rejig their plans. It's not like they're travelling far and will have planned for that travel eh? And it's not like they'll have been in touch with all the Championship 1 clubs about their travel to Toronto either. Will be dead easy for them to change all that and arrange it with the Championship teams instead.
Bradford staying in the Championship won't sit well with hardly anyone, including most of our fans. But you can understand from a logistical point of view why it's been done. Had the liquidation happened in October or November, I highly doubt it would be the case.

You're asking in the wrong place. The general consensus on here is that a drop to Ch1 is what is best for the club. The RFL have different ideas

I'm not sure who you are arguing with. I don't see anyone on here delighted with today's result or the RFLs decision.

| A business goes out of business and the RFL are still talking about 12 points and in the championship. They must think they have a plan now they are the ones in charge and Green and admin has gone.
Me, I prefer the Idea of starting again in Ch.1 at a different ground. Complete fresh start. We can build that feeling of it still being Bradford by asking older players and Trevor Fosters lad to get involved as figure heads for a while to give us that feel of the past.
How many get promoted from Ch.1? Toronto are nailed on for one place but if two come up and we could start with a half decent team then Who knows?
Even if Rohan left then I would look at Karl Harrison as a coach / manager role to rebuild with.
A very sad day but something inside me says it is still not ended. There could still be a twist to come but it needs to be in the next few days as a Ch/1 club will need to be promoted quickly.

It won't be made up of the current players. It will be a last minute put together hash job with regular beatings and fans will continue to walk away.
I would rather we drop down to L1 and reform and build up and start a brand new journey together.
Think we may have to prepare ourselves for an almighty backlash...'"
This Fev fan is quite happy to see you stay where you are. Can't see how dumping you in C1 will benefit anyone in the sport.
12 point penalty is harsh, but needs to be seen to be done. Hopefully you can keep the bulk of your players and finish mid table this year with a view to building in 2018.
All the best.

Typical ramblings of a bitter and twisted fax fan let just thank got they are all not like that. WE all know RFL are a rule to themselves but that is the offer on the table after a meeting of their council Just like the admin the fans cant change it LIVE WITH IT

Teams getting byes every week in the league and season tickets at all clubs now being worth less than what they were bought at (plus club's losing income).
So either way it's not really very good is it? RFL are in between a rock and a hard place brought about the people that have run Bradford Bulls over the last 10-15 years.
Personally I'd prefer to sit the season out and see a new club formed properly and not at the last minute. Apply for entry into League 1 and build properly from there. Even if it means years as a semi pro team with no academy etc. At least it would be right.'"
Your correct about the summer bash, maybe a team should be promoted and given the extra funding available. There are a few players available now. What makes a zero day old Bradford club with no history or track record more worthy than Donny, Barrow or Keighley?
I understand its an emotive subject, but the fact is the new club has no history or standing in the game. Purely a geographical location. Putting the new club into the Championship is a cop out from the RFL who don't want to have to work out the technicalities.

The person I quoted mate. There are clearly some logical thinkers on here who see the drop to Champ 1 as the right thing, but some who think a new club has some right to be in Championship because they happen to be based in the same town as a famous RL club once was.
Sad day for the sport no matter which way you look at it, but as usual the RFL find a way to make an even bigger balls up of it.

| Jeez, our club has just been liquidated and we get posters trying to tell us that it's not fair? Some people amaze me at times. Just a couple of facts:
1. None of us fans have had any involvement in the running of the club.
2. We think that starting in ch1 is the best option as long as we have a club and some players. We have no control of what the RFL do. If you have an issue then please take it up with them.
3. Right Now, believe It or not, we feel a little bit down so trying to preach to us may not go down so well.

Yes, sad day for the sport, sh*t day to be a Bulls fan, so you would think a bit of empathy maybe is in order?
Again, vbfg was not supporting RFL in this, just stating facts. I am still yet to see one of us on here who want to carry on in the Championship with a 12pt reduction, so you really are ranting at the wrong people.

That's very true, once I am in rant mode there is little stopping me though! I am honestly sad for the fans, but on the other side of the coin its infuriating to see the rules constantly changed to benefit whomever they see fit, but there is no RFL board to rant at.

It means that the RFL have someone paying the rent on Odsal and contributing to its upkeep. This both spares the blushes of the RFL and its bank balance. Further I would guess that it will be only too happy for whoever it is to take Odsal off its hands completely! The plus side for the incoming club would be £150k to offset costs in the first year, after which the Bulls will be quietly allowed to drop into Ch1, and the RFL will not be left with any white elephants (apart, possibly, from fat Nige).

There is no extra funding. Read the statement a new club would be entitled to the minimum central funding with the difference going towards closing the current club. RFL will end up with a lot of costs to cover over this.
I only want what's best for Bradford Bulls in the long term and that I feel means a proper set up with a proper plan. IMO that means sitting out this year and applying with finances, a new ground and players roster and coaching set up in place.
If that means as a part time CHamp 1 team then so be it.
Do I care that the other clubs and RFL will be out of pocket in the short term? Not really. I think it's bad but the blame lies squarely with the people that casued this not the players, staff or fans of the now liquidated club.
I don't even feel like revenge against small minded idiots like you. Yes your club would lose out on cash it probably budgeted for but I don't gain any pleasure out of that. Bigger issues right now.

| Just to add – I understand you're all feeling incredibly and understandably pîssed off/on, but thank you for keeping this as civil as you have under the circumstances – and thank you too, to the Bulls mods who just want to try to facilitate real discussion, while understanding that venting is 110% understandable.
So thank you from the entire admin team – and we join you in hoping for the best for the club, which is an integral part of the RL family.
