With so many new players we need as much time as possible in training to bed in the new playmakers with the existing ones.

I wouldnt get so fixated on it being godwin,hall ,olbison to cas in exchange for chase. Thats the obvious rumour thats been going round but it could easily be a different player/players from our side (although hall would be likely to get a quota spot and godwin seems to have no obvious role when everyones fit) and it could be a different half we're looking at. most obvious ones that spring to mind are witt/sammut at crusaders but there are a few scattered around the league who could be potential targets.

We were linked with Obst, few months back around the same time we were also linked with Dorn....but then we've been linked to more than our fair share of halves so its easy to forget!

I hope we do bring in another half, because as we are at the moment, we're no better off in the most important area of the team then we were at the start of last year despite all the new players.

I have no problem with the club taking time to get it right, as long as they do get someone in with either proven ability at half or very real potential at half.

A mate of mine at Hull said that they were after Myler. I know it sounds unlikely with the length of his contract and big transfer fee, but apparently Warrington wanted rid of him, but he dug his heels in and said he wouldn't leave.

If he isn't in their plans this year maybe he would be worth a punt on a loan deal for a season? Herbet can play 6 aswell as 7, so he could fit in well.

I realise that loans aren't ideal, but a young player with a point to prove would be nice.

But the latest rumour I’m hearing is that during the Nathan Cayless tribute dinner, it was leaked that Matt Orford had all but signed with the Parramatta Eels and it would be announced on Wednesday.

So it does claim they are announcing his signing on Wed.

monaghan looks like his joining cas, and i cant see that happening if chase is leaving so it could be back to pryce. as others have said though, this needs to be sorted. We have a huge amount of combinations and a 7 is vital to most of those so we need the person in. heard a slight rumour of K Pryce but not sure how/why and when on that one, probably just a load of hot air.

Purely speculation on my part, but Dane Carlaw has left Catalans. It would be a struggle to replace him at this late stage. I wonder where they can find a forward? They have space on the quota. Wouldn't it be nice if they could somehow find someone who could help the legendary Steve Menzies settle in france? Maybe even someone who he played alongside at Manly! And even more recently than that, at Bradford!

nice idea. potential problem I see with that one is that if said forward went to france maybe his best mate would want to go with him and explore his french roots?. Assuming your thinking bosc coming other way could potentially leave us with 2 quota spots free as french players dont count from this year.

I'd ignore the mockers paul, the majority on the board do appreciate what info you manage to give out and understand when its sensitive enough that you cant disclose it. Some people just have no patience and have to know everything straight away. The delay in announcind signings is certainly keeping the interest up during what would otherwise be a boring part off the off-season.
